So, business is slow, and in order to pass the time, my boss is trying to organize an office decathlon (where I work is awesome, btw). It started from the water cooler question "Who in the office would win a 100 yd dash?" This question has spiraled out of control into a Dunder Mifflin Olympics-esque competition. We are all trying to think of ideas. Here's what we got so far as possibilities:
100 yd dash
Putting contest (down the hall in the office)
Free throws
Bowling
New York Times crossword
Wiffle Ball home run derby
Ping pong tournament
Spelling bee
Darts
Washer throwing
Football long throw
Field goal kicking
Texas Hold 'Em tourney Flonkerton
Any other ideas?
As you can see, the list is physical/sports heavy. I really like the NYT and Spelling Bee ideas, so I'm trying to think of more along those lines. Sadly, a video game competition is unlikely, as no one cares about them but me (although I'll keep pushing for something like Tetris most-lines-wins competition). Maybe a trivia contest would work. Any other ideas?
Your team has to slide your coworker across the floor on an office chair, getting them as close to a certian point as possible. You can use them to knock other co-workers in chairs away. Kicking each other away is up to you to decide

Google-fu: Come up with questions/places for people to find. Maybe related to your business, e.g, engineering problems.
Typing Contest: Write a long and challenging paragraph for them to transcribe, filled with PHB-speak.
Nerf Wars: Maybe 2or 3 people at a time, last-man-standing with pistol-sized Nerfs. Might be a little too HR-nightmareish, though.
Trying to think of contests anyone could play, so you don't rule out anyone less physical.
You should make the hundred yard dash take place inside the office. Walk off a course and time people running through it. Much more fun that going outside.
Paper football should be involved for sure.
There was that game that was played in the sportscenter commercials from a year or so ago where you take a rubber ball, and try to bounce it off the ground and onto a shelf in such a way that it stays on a shelf. This game is actually surprisingly entertaining, although I don't know how you score it.
Also, where do you work?

that's why we call it the struggle, you're supposed to sweat
A fun game/competition that I've played with my co-workers instead of working:
Spin around a bunch until you are really dizzy.
Pick up a hatchet and throw it at a designated tree (or some other inanimate object).
If the hatchet sticks in the tree, you win.
It's a pretty tough game, I never won. The danger of both getting hit with a hatchet thrown by someone too dizzy to walk and getting fired if your boss shows up makes you feel more alive. It could still be fun with boss approval though!

Can trade TF2 items or whatever else you're interested in. PM me.
Unbelievably, I don't know if anyone in the office has a Wii.
Dance Dance Revolution
These are not typical video games, and playing either with coworkers can be hilarious
