Someone else can make the "remake old art" challenge, because most of my old artwork is several hundred kilometers away in a box.
So, in the spirit of Halloween, I propose some some radsauce costume designing instead.
Here's the gist:
DESIGN A FUNCTIONAL, FANTASTICAL, FUNNY, OR FREAKY HALLOWEEN COSTUME
Or any combination thereof.
Want to make the blueprints for a fully functioning cthulhu mask with anamatronic face tentacles, but don't have the resources? Put the design up here anyways.
Got an idea of that awesome unique costume that really turns heads or makes people laugh, but are too lazy to actually make it yourself? Put it up, maybe someone else will make it real.
Limitations of reality hindering your actual costume constructions? Draw it anyways.
The costume model can be yourself, some random kid, or whatever else it will fit/grow on.
~ BI-WEEKLY (aka, bi-monthly) CHALLENGE THREAD ~
For those of you who frequent the conceptart.org forums this should be pretty familiar; tens of artistic combatants thrown together in to an artistic arena, each struggling for the honor of being dubbed a master of the visual arts. Those of you who succeed will be bathed in glory and the blood of their competitors, those of you who fail will be exiled to a life of shame and isolation.
The aim of this thread is to try and spice things up a bit here in the ol' Artist's Corner. This thread is for entries in to the challenge or the discussion thereof. If you'd like to suggest a topic for the weekly challenge, go right ahead, but understand that the last winner of the challenge has total control over the task (unless they have won more than two challenges in a row, see rules).
The rules are simple;
RULES:
* One entry per person, per challenge.
* A contestant cannot win more than two challenges in a row.
* Winner gets the privilege of choosing the next challenge.
* At the end of a challenge, the thread is locked and a new one is begun.
* Stick to the challenge topic; no going off on a tangent.
* All formats welcome, whether they be traditional or digital; 2D or 3D; still or animated.
If you're looking for inspiration, check out the aforementioned conceptart.org forums (specifically the creature/environment/character of the week sections).

draw a dude in a costume, as complicated or as simply as you'd like
think up a costume, draw it on a dude. if you want to go further and do the more design oriented bits of it, do it.
eesh
haha we ought to just add that quote into the first post of every new challenge. I think you and tam say that the most.
and i'll just go ahead and say
Hey this is a cool idea I think I'm going to draw this time!
Also maybe I'll post my costume drafts that I'm working on, with pictures of the finished product if it comes out good enough.

March Hare for mah girl:
Sorry for the bad pictures, I only have my webcam working right now.
And I'm going with movie version chocolate brown khakis. The ones I have are herring bone pattern, though, so they feel a bit vintage..
And the gloves wait til pay day. Damn leather gloves are so pricey!
He's the mini-boss of my apartment.
FINE. NEXT CONTEST. HURRY UP.
i don't think i'm going to be able to finish this in time, so, yeah.
its supposed to be a kid's costume, Huge tiki face with wheels and mini flood lights, with a bar on the inside he pushes like a shopping cart.
Not actually going to make it right now, just sayin'.

Missed this, but of course its alright tam.
I dun' sewed it all up mah'self! =D
now i think a mask of your face pixalated would be a great idea for a costume
Made the cloak from scratch (no pattern) out of some red fabric I had lying around. Yesterday's makeup was better since I had access to some white liquid makeup that paled up my skin a bit, and I added oozing claw wounds to my right leg and left arm as well. I would've liked to distress the clothing articles more, but I wasn't sure if I wanted to stain the dress and I just ran out of time to do anything else Also couldn't find a costume axe anywhere so the machete had to do, and my white contact was too old to wear anymore.
Oh well! Yay Halloween!
Opted not to go with the leather cinch, it's uncomfortable for extended wear and my skirt didn't poof out as nice with it on.
