Part 1

I would like to put this card:

into a Dell Dimension 1100. Will it work? The ultimate goal is to have it run The Sims 3, and the occasional other game my parents might buy for my kids.

Part 2

I would also like to put this card:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814187034

into my system at home. My system at home has this motherboard:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131172

2 gigs of ram, and this CPU:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103231

The goal is to perhaps run the occasional game (like Civ IV or possibly Fallout 3 if I ever buy it) and watch the occasional Netflix Instant queue selection on my LCD TV.

Firstly, the 6200 is a very very basic card, I don't think it will run Sim 3 very well...

The 8400GS is in the same price range and it's better. My recommendation would be getting a 9500GT as well, I had no idea they existed in PCI as well.

The 9500GT is a very capable card, for it's low power consumption and price. It should work fine with that setup.

    So, like, one of these?

A bit outside of my price range, unfortunately...
