Why would you grudge Simon? You were working with a mafia! How is he supposed to distinguish between malice and stupidity there? Heck, Nocturne even tried to use his knowledge of that attack to sway me by PM for the finish.

I was also working with Burnage. Mostly because I thought Simon knew I was a harmless villager at that point and he blasted me when he could have hit someone better.

I was also having fun being able to do things as a villager and didn't want it to end. I was attempting to attack Matatat that night

    And dammit I need a grudge I don't have one. :P

What was I supposed to do, pray tell?

I didn't have a network to be the leader of. Aside from pigeonking, I didn't have any way to confirm anyone as a special, nor could I start a proboard and get everyone on the same wavelength with each other. My megalomania was a basic reaction to the fact that I didn't have anyone I could fully trust in this game.

Also it was because I'm awesome.

It's not about what you did, I don't have any real complaints about that. It's the way you postured as a power-hungry madman.

    kiss kiss kiss.

But really, simonwolf? Vigging Jdark instead of Nocturne, given that one of them lead bandwagons that killed many mafia and the other none? :P

I almost considered grudging you for killing off both seers, then I remembered the even day/odd day thing, and that in reality the even vig didn't reveal to you until day close as well. Still its not like you to lie about people doing things (you claimed ahava never contacted you) so you get a minor demerit. w/e, should probably playfully grudge you but I feel too bad for you after all the stress you went through that game. If anyone should be grudging Simon, it's Jdark.

Also, are you going to reveal all of the stuff you said you'd reveal post game?

Ahava actually didn't contact me, which was the most annoying part of that day.

jdark is welcome to grudge me! I mostly vigged him because I was gettin' kinda bored with the game at that stage, and wanted to be super-sure that he was, in fact, not a mafia. Mostly because he never got back to me about some of the hits he was organising, but also because I'm insane. Also, alive past day 3? That means he is evil. Evil.

When I said "it wasn't me" that killed Tiph, it was because it was pigeonking - I had sent him an order on who to kill, but apparently he didn't get back online before vote, so his kill (based on his own suspicions) got put through.

However, at that stage, I didn't think anyone beyond myself and pigeonking knew there was an even-day and odd-day vig, and I didn't want to say anything - I hoped that the mafia would keep trying to kill me, instead of searching for the other vig.

Communication was the biggest issue in this game, yeah.

We spent the whole game looking for the guard, as it was.

But we kept on hitting healers and people with multiple lives, damnit.

Too bad we weren't able to pull it through, but great game over all! I had a blast being the mafia, even when we got overconfident and greedy, handing a laundry list of half our team to the village :p

The infidel list was bound to be picked up on. By putting it out there first he helped put himself in a position to make it to the endgame, since he was the most trusted of us. And that much worked.

We were hoping something else would come to draw attention away from the list or that people wouldn't expect it to literally contain half our team and would stop after hitting a villager or two.

So did I. I assumed everyone realized it. I didn't realize other people didn't until Sloth told me after I was dead that the mafia hadn't figured it out.

I suppose I should explain my jdark suspicion: it was mostly your keeping all your information close to the vest, at least with me, in terms of who you wanted to hit. That kind of thing makes me leery.

I had an open group - I accepted everyone, including mafia. The first person to sign up was Infidel. Part of the reason I had the group was to try and control their kills.

Half the time, I send attack orders on members of my own group. Why? Partly so I could see who was paying attention and who was scamming me.

The other part was to try and tie up their attacks on targets that were blocking. Since they only had one Kill per night, if I could point them at players I knew were Blocking or Dodging, the village was better off.

Yeah, it's not bad strategy, but it does make you look suspicious!

And you're pretty well known as a crafty player.

I am assuming that due to the unconfirmed natures of the specials, most communication was by PM and there were no good network proboards to joyously view.

And extract the secrets of Pigeonking's alleged ability to read me so that I may gloriously change the traits he believes I have.

Oh well, I do have some ideas.

I don't know if it was you, specifically Rawkking. It was combined with the fact that when Lucedes was here he was Pro-Simonwolf and then Pigeon noticed that none of the mafia were in any of the Mr. D wagons.

As for Nocturne, I was hoping to get him killed day.. uh, 8? 9? Whenever it was that you didn't get back before vote close, jdark. And then again I tried to have him killed last night (I had attacked him the night before) but Jaenther's 200 and Rawkking's 301 wasn't enough.

As for SIMONWOLF - How do you confirm people claiming to be your guards? Arrange to have yourself attacked. I brave attacked you Day 3 after you vigged the seer because I wanted to catch you in a lie about having gotten into contact with the odd guard. Unfortunately cj didn't bother to make contact with you until day 6 or 7. At which point I Brave Attacked you again to see if cj was really guarding you.

Oh and Lawinator - why oh why would you state, in thread, that you have a special ability? Nobody else can heal. You were asking to be killed.

Anyway, thanks a bunch to pigeonking for saving the game by not vigging Rawkking. You're still my favorite day one vote! And thanks to Sloth for running this game. I had a lot of fun. Though if the Seers hadn't died this would've been a rout for the village I think.

That wouldn't work. If I were a guard, but perhaps not quite trusting simon completely, I'd just guard him anonymously. You could try to do that on someone else whom the guard wouldn't (probably) protect on their own, but then that leaves simon open.

Well, I should probably find some closing stuff to say.

Simonwolf, sorry I got sorta bitchy and frustrated about the problems caused by the lack of communication.
Tiphareth, my bad. Sorry about that one too.
Ringo, thanks for not making me jump through too many hoops to confirm.
to the mafias: you guys did a pretty great job, especially towards the end. I was willing to swear that there were more mafia specials, but guess I was wrong.
TehSloth, the game ended up being pretty close and exciting, so don't feel too bad about balance issues. I had a lot of fun with this one.

Also, calling it now: the pattern will continue and I will be mafia next game.

Yeah, it was out litmus test cause we assumed specials also had 1500 or something health. More than the villager 1000.

The Infidel push for the excore was bad, all I could do was state after the fact "yeah probably shouldn't do that."

In defense of the Infidel push, it would have been epic if Simon hadn't tripped on his sword and accidentally stabbed a mafia instead of a villager ;-)
    <3<3<3

We had it all planned out to let Infidel epic reveal, get his kill, and quietly contact Cosmos in the next day's Epic Reveal post since we had no clue who Cosmos was! The thought of it clouded our judgment, and the rest is phalla history.

    Poor communications kill.
