XBOX 360/PC networking & internet sharing

edited October 2009 in Help / Advice Forum
I'm trying to work out a way to share both media and internet between a PC (using tversity in WinXP Pro) and an XBOX 360. The PC is a desktop connecting wirelessly to my home network via a USB dongle. For a while I was able to use internet connection sharing to get onto XBL (ethernet cable between 360 and PC's NIC) but couldn't access tversity's shared media OR I could get at the media but not the internet.

I tried adding an old, functioning router to the mix. This allows me to more-or-less consistently have tversity connection but never internet. Anybody have any idea how I could set this up so I can have tversity, XBL and internet on the PC? It's not a big enough deal for me to shell out for a proper wireless bridge for the 360 and the router cannot act as a wireless bridge.
