Help me add the finishing touches to my Halloween Costume

Okay, so for the first time in a long time, I'm actually dressing up this year. I wanted a quick and easy costume so I decided to go as the God of Rock.

Basically I got bought a caesar costume that came with the toga, sandals, and laurels, the added a white beard and wig, and I'm planning to have a guitar strapped to my back. But that doesn't strike me as enough you know?

I thought about maybe making a cardboard lightning bolt or such. I'm sure I'm going to have to explain my costume anyways, but I rather people go "ohhh" after the explanation than continue to give me a blank look and then nod slowly.

You should hook something up where music emits from your body. Just awesome guitar riffs. I think ThinkGeek had something by which that could be accomplished. Like hidden speakers in a shirt

The white beard and wig are going to make you look like Jerry Garcia, so why not have an empty tub of Ben & Jerry's with you?

Rockstar sunglasses and fake tattoos ought to do it. Maybe tape some cardboard lightning bolts to your guitar. Don't forget to constantly make the "rock out" horns with your fingers.

Seriously it sounds like this one will be pretty obvious, people are stupid if they don't figure it out.

Man, maybe I shouldn't be a God of Rock, as I can't picture 'rockstar' sunglasses. Examples please?

You could have a bra or panties slung over your shoulder.

I like the loud aviators, too.

Hey guys, thanks for all the advice. I picked up some rockstar sunglasses and they definately help.

One last thing. I kinda thinking of trying to decorate the guitar so that the either it looks like sparks/lightning is coming of it, or better yet, that I'm setting the frets on fire when I'm playing. What would be the easiest and cheapest way to do that?

Cheapest way would be to actually set it on fire.

there is no good way to cause that effect.

unless you want to tie small red orange and yellow ribbons onto your fingers and wiggle them real fast as you play.

mmm, I like the idea of ribbons to look like fire. how hard/cheap would it be to pick up a small case fan+AA+toggle switch to make the ribbons blow out?

They could just hang there looking cool then blammo!

    Black Nail Polish maybe?

Also get some Petrollium Jelly and smear it on the guitar and set fire to it - should only burn that. However maybe try that one at home...
