Maybe it's the high I'm riding on Fallout 3 atm but this looks brilliant. I'd definitely like to hear/see more about it.

theres a handful of screenshots floating around but they're from 2006...
1) it will be packed with bugs from start to finish
2) it will be awesome regardless.
Get very much a STALKER/Fallout feel from it, which can only lead to good things.
Very light on plot details, but I'm intrigued nonetheless. Hopefully the social commentary isn't lost in the translation to interactive storytelling. Also, 'It's Getting Darker' sounds awesome, I'll have to check it out.
Anyway yeah It's Getting Darker sounds cool too. Maybe it's the Russian setting that makes this sound fascinating to me. We always see US/EU post-apocalyptic settings (also Japan, but those are usually of the cyberpunk neo-Tokyo style settings) and rarely of like Russia, Eastern Europe, Africa settings. Well, I suppose STALKER is Russia but I've never played that.
Something I probably should remedy.

Yes. If you like the look of this and have a PC that can run it, play STALKER.
So it's out in Swedish, but not English? Publishing works in mysterious ways. :P
UK version hits in December.
SOLD.
Well the OP says whatever that means.
I really hope it leans toward Fallout 3 and less towards like...Half-life 2. I love me some Half-life, but there's a level of immersion I've gotten with Fallout 3 that I never really felt in Half-life 2. I mean...the Dunwich building alone freaked me the fuck out more than anything in HL2. I'm a gigantic pussy though so that's not saying much.
Even if it's less than Fallout 3, more like what I've read about STALKER that's perfectly ok. I can live without VATS though it's nice for how clunky the shooting is in Fallout 3; it's made me a complete idiot when I try to play Halo because I forgot how to aim on my own.
With a release date (supposedly) of next year hopefully we'll start seeing more info on the gameplay.

If you can't live for the now, at least live for the future.
But the first was like 3 years ago; and the last footage shown prior to this was over a year ago.
Given that it's supposed to be released next year I think it was probably a good idea to re-announce it.

Albeit a buggy-as-shit gem.

This sounds funny, but what really caught my eye towards the end of the trailer was a lone wind turbine sticking up out of the ruins, presumably providing power to the metro settlement below. It's little details like that that get me. One of the main things that bugged me about Fallout 3 was (and I know, it didn't go for realism) that you had settlements and people and not one hint as to how they were powered and fed.
I get the feeling that this will feel a lot more like STALKER than Fallout 3.

Sounds good but not like the Fallout/STALKER style sandbox game. More Halflife 2 with inventory.

The preview looks good. I'm kinda glad it's not a sandbox game... Sorta.
That's pretty much what I want from an FPS/RPG. Definitely keeping an eye on this one.
The preview talks about taking people's gas-masks; I wonder if you can get things like better armor as well.

I got a little bummed at the "10+ hour" comment until I realized that 100+ hour games like Fallout are not the norm.
It's funny though after finishing fallout 3 I decided to do a playthrough of Halflife 2 because it would be so "quick".
Anyway, game still sounds good, any thoughts people had that it would be a STALKER-esque sandbox game should be gone now. It's pretty clearly a linear FPS with some inventory management.
I hate to keep comparing it to halflife 2 but well...HL2 is one of my favorite games so that's clearly not a put-down.

Well, there goes most of my interest
I loved STALKER, and I love post apocalyptic settings in general, but it was the open-world aspect that really hooked me. Give me a harsh world, lots of ways to customize my character, a host of interesting weapons and quests, and fill it with some interesting characters and frightening monsters with decent AI and I'll be happy forever.
I'm sadden by this fact as well.

Also an "interview":
http://uk.pc.ign.com/articles/105/1050156p1.html
I put that in quotes because there is very little actual interviewing. It's more like "reprint of comments we overheard while 4A was demoing the game to us"

Of course, if it has people from the STALKER team maybe there will also be potential for mods which magically change the game from something potentially good to fantastic? Regardless, developers from Eastern Europe definitely deserve more love. If nothing else, hearing people speak in Russian all over the place just does something magically immersive.
I could definitely live with a corridor crawler + post-apocalyptic future + Aliens "they're coming out of the walls!" + an Eastern European aesthetic behind everything.
The voice acting sounds laughable but it looks like it has potential!
Where is Pip he needs to read this
Get out of here, STALKER.
