this, so much.
Happy: Doing raids with the guild for the last 2 months, been getting gear left and right.
Hate: Got to gem and ench said gear before I use it. Got 3 pieces of 245 armour in my bags waiting for the right gems.
Double hate: And in 2 months time it will all be obsolete because we will have moved on to Icecrown with 262 gearr or whatever.
Part of raiding unfortunately.
That and people in VoA who stand in the clouds to loot the body.
I blatantly tell people "If you stand in clouds, I will let you die."
And I did once. And people laughed.
Anyways...
Sad: No mount again. But, too busy to really mess with summons too much.
Amused: Being able to solo HH and end up with 100% health and mana on occasion. God I love being a prot pally sometimes.
It's more of a fuck ignis because his trash is shit (we just have the tanks pull the fire revenants to the wall at the bottom of the ramp with their back to the wall. They're piss easy then). We don't have any problems really, he's just annoying and we want to press on to get yogg down.
We haven't gotten to him for a while because of spotty raid attendance, uld apathy and ToTC/Ony/Voa runs but I really want to kill him before 3.3. Feels like he should have been dead ages ago and people are a bit tired of ulduar. Most of it is basically naxx now for us.
Unlike Naxx on our server you won't get a good uld 10 pug so we have to run it for gear for new guys anyway.
Speaking of which:
Hate: gearscore again. Ask me for my score I'll tell you to bite me. Tonight was the last straw.
I am not raiding any more unless our guild is running it or it's voa / ony 10 and maybe even then. It's a lot easier to manage when you're the one in control of forming stuff so that's how its going to be from now on.
Hate: Our other ToGC10 group tonight was all jealous and QQing.
Hope: When I get said computer that not all of my friends have game quit by then.
Hate: There's only like two left.
I hate the fact macarbe maronattie is a temp pet
I saw the horse drop twice and lost the roll /shrug I really was indifferent about getting it
I logged on recently and see that the guy I 2vs2 with, isn't in
a) my 2vs2 team
b) my 5vs5 team
c) my guild
d) my friend's list.
I ask and find out that he's done a faction transfer on his paladin. Apparently because the guild wouldn't let him bring along his DK as a dps main. I should point out that we've geared him out to a quite reasonable degree for a 10 man guild, that does the odd joint 25 man, for all 3 paladin specs, and he's actually got some very nice gear for a dk as well.
The problem is, we've got a dk tank, and others who have been using dk's as mains for a longer time. I don't think it's too much to expect that someone actually settle on a spec, let alone a class, in addition to maybe seeing that in a 10 man run, we can only fit in so many DK's and that you might have to sit out.
Maybe a bit of warning that he was about to leave the 2vs2 team, or a mention that he was going to faction transfer I wouldn't have minded.
So I logged my rogue, and levelled him up from 67-70 and pretended I was awesome and brilliant at pvp despite the fact I was killing people with an unfair spec, in BoA gear, and quite a few levels below me (because frankly the DK's and ret. paladins in the 50-59 bracket deserved it).
Happier: it rocks
Hate: Half my fucking gear is cloth.... Something about a paladin in robes just doesn't work for me.
Happier: Went to TotGC10 with them a few hours after the transfer for their first shot at it (they/we are a 10 man hard mode focused guild). Cleared everything up to Anub with about 30 attempts left. It was a really fun raid and everyone is as skilled and on the ball as I remember them being.
Bonus levels of happiness: Picked up the felspark bracers to finally replace my ancient BoE badge bracers.
Hope: That we change our raid day from Sunday to Tuesday as I can't regularly make Sundays.
Minor hate: Faction change means having to redo 120+ quests in Northrend to get the loremaster achieves back. I was down to only needing 40 quests or so in Icecrown to finish it.
Niggle: I rolled a male Drenai caster as I liked both the casting animation and the ludicrous size of him. Not much choice for races on Horde side so ended up with a pretty standard undead shadow priest. With the upcoming haste changes for spriests in 3.3 I hope that I don't regret this due to the Troll racial potentially being totally brokenly good for spriests on the PTR atm.
Well, we did, twice. Half the raid didn't know what Legion Flames or Incinerate Flesh were or that there was a difference between them.
Right after the second wipe one of the RLs in my guild started up a Naxx 25 pug and I dropped that bullshit group like it was hot.
Happy: While waiting around for my leveling partner on Saturday I was poking around on my 50 Warrior. (I have totally forgotten how to play a Warrior in the... Year? Since I got her to 50) Doug has invited you to a group; you have joined a raid group. Oh hey, he's going to go solo ZG, let me loot whore my random alt. Ishikins receives loot [Zin'rokh, Destroyer of Worlds]. And Heart of Hakkar, which may or may not be good for melee.... We never let anyone but casters even think about rolling for it back in the day.
Hope: I can stumble through the next 10 levels quickly enough... Although I was planning on respeccing Prot but now I have a shiny 2H... Well, if I'm leveling with a Priest, Fury maybe? I have no idea what I'm doing.
leveling a dwarf death knight
lovin it
partied with a gnome death knight
kinda wanna race change
I am going to get to 80, get baron's mount, and then decide
But yeah, I've also become wary of joining pug raids already in progress as a replacement. It's usually a waste of time.
Its easier to wipe on Jaraxxus than you might think, at least on 25m. The raid's mage went down in the first 25 seconds. Nobody else knew about the debuff or its need to be dispelled. Got to watch Jaraxxus rip through our three tanks like they were made of paper.
Happy: At least I got the Needy achievement out of it. Don't need to roll on things anymore.
Now, wiping for hours loses its sheen, but if you're at least within reach it's fine.
Happier: Since that event, had enough to buy the new badge shoulders (!!!) and got the last few conqs to grab the t8 helm!
RKANKNAHAPPY: After playing the waiting game to level jewelcrafting (stuck at 265 due to RETARDED gem costs) I noticed the one asshole who was buying all the gems those previous days and jacking them up to like 40 gold per was accidently selling a HUGE chunk for 4g. How do I know it was an accident?
"Hey man, I listed those at the wrong price. Be a good guy and swap me back"
"lolno"
Fucking MMO-Champion, seriously. And fuck blizzard for not fixing the 250-300 profession leveling process.
Grats!
I've stalled out a bit on my Mage, but some rested and a pair of instance runs pushed me to 78. Borderlands has been eating up a large chunk of my gaming time, but the alt army continues its slow march to 80hood. 80ness. 80ism.
Whatever.
But yeah, on my server ever since they posted their "lol gold making guide" 800 new entrepreneurs have decided to flood the AH with stuff. The problem: They're idiots.
With about 10 new scribes undercutting each other, the market has been flooded with 3-4g glyphs. Herbs sell for 25g (goldclover) - 45g (lichbloom) a stack. Even if they're farming the herbs themselves like idiots (not going into the opportunity cost debate) they're losing money crafting glyphs; the herbs would turn a better gold/hour profit.
In the end, all they see is their gold going up... So they don't get that they're doing it wrong and making a fraction of what they could be. Bleh, I've backed off the glyph market for the moment, but I'm still making piles of cash elsewhere though.
I have the Warrior at 51 now, a Mage on my old server at 47?ish I may transfer over eventually... I'm waiting on Cataclysm for a max level Lock though, she'll be a Worgen.
Um, dear Scilla: Skinning is an excellent money maker. This has nothing to do at all with my plan to level LW on my Shaman in the near future.
Are you saying I'm a bad? I'll kill you in WG next time I see you :P Last time I missed the screenshot because you released too fast.
Kindof. Although I'm still making ~10k/week off them being idiots.
Edit: It's actually me being an elitist prick now that I think about it. They're not business savvy enough to be in my AH. When really, it benefits me in the end.
I have 9 characters with epic Northrend flying (or the cash on hand to procure it) and multiple alts with a second spec.
Believe me, the market has worked well enough for me over the years that I really don't give a shit what it does. It's not like I have 100k in the bank, but aside from affording repairs and the ocassional gem or enchant materials I don't have tucked away on an alt, there just isn't that much more for me to spend upon that I really want.
By the time the alt army hits 80 across the boards, I imagine money woes will be a thing of the past once again.
Seriously. What the fuck?
Happy: My fiance gives a disgusted look when she sees a dps at 80 doing less than 1.5k...
Seriously, there's no excuse for putting out such shittastic numbers.
'Tis a mystery.
