    I saw two movies this year, The Departed and Borat.

    Therefore, I cannot say if anything else was any better. I'd like to see Children of Men though.

    I tend to enjoy most films I see. You know... because I am not a dick.

    In 06 I really liked The prestige, Casino Royale, PotC2 etc.. etc.. In particular there was this Australian version of Macbeth I saw which was pretty contrived but forsome reason hells of awesome. Also I loved Lady in the water which everyone else seems to hate. So fuck you everyone else.

    Yeah I didn't really put comedies in my list but I would say the best were:
    Borat
    Beerfest
    Rise of Taj
    I didn't really find Little Miss Sunshine to be too funny, it was more of a tragedy in my eyes.

    Oh yeah, Beerfest. Watched it the other night.

    It had its moments (quite a few actually), but much of the movie content seemed to be worthless filler.

    it was sad mostly, the family was falling apart, grandpa's drug habbit, dads bankrupt, kid realizes he's [spoiler:cc9452fca1]colorblind and cant do the only the thing he cared about[/spoiler:cc9452fca1] that and there weren't too many funny moments except the end.

    Dude it's pretty funny in very sophomoric kind of way. It's one of those movies that after you see two or three times you'll be dropping quotes left and right for like a month. If you liked Super Troopers, Waiting, or Half Baked I would recommend it.

    The entire movie is about the family trying their best to be "normal", and then realizing how fucked up normal people are. The entire family pulls together in the end and supports each other, celebrating the fact that they aren't normal.

    It's not lighthearted, but it's not depressing either. But if you didn't find it funny, that's fine. Dark comedies aren't everyone's cup of tea.

    I saw Pirates 2, and Superman Returns.

    Pirates 2 started off poorly, I thought... but once it got rolling, it was a pretty good film.

    Superman Returns was alright. I watched it at my parents house over the holidays, so my general mood was spoiled by being in Missouri. So, I might not have enjoyed it as much as I would have under normal circumstances.

    I don't remember seeing anything else.

    I used a girt certificate to order Clerks II. Hopefully that'll be good.
