Free Websites/Hosting?

So, I'm thinking about building a web page. But I'm not dedicated enough to the idea that I want to pay for it yet. So who do you guys recommend as a free provider? Geocities? Yahoo? Bob's Free Stuff?
I'm saddened that Google has not provided an answer, what with their spectacular GMail service. :(

    Ahem. Google does have free hosting, 100mb. It's called google pages.

    Yeah, there is one, but it's reasonably high. Also, even if you hit your limit, HTML pages will still work fine -- only images and files will be blocke. I tested it a few months back by uploading shitloads of zip files to my googlepages, and getting people to download them all.
