    Another one for Starcraft Ghost.
    Also, Chrono Break.

Chrono Break is not a game that ever existed. You can't uncancel games which just existed as wishful thinking.

Auto Assault. Dammit I loved that beta, running down zombie cyborgs in my battle-limo with an army of mechs at my back.

You beta'd that too? It was ok, I thought, kind of lost interest as it got near end of beta. I assume it never got finished?

    Also, Duke Nukem Forever, lol.

It was released with a near total lack of advertising, the advertising it got misconstruing what it was.

Unsurprisingly, it bombed about half a year to a year later, causing NCsoft to shut down the servers. For what the game was, it was incredibly fun.

I don't think i've ever had as much fun in a MMO as I did while I was plowing through the buildings in a post-apocalyptic shanty-town with my souped up super-car (Which had might as well been a tank.), being chased by 'roided up super-mutants in their own mad-max-esque cars, all while my space marine pets dropped in from orbit in drop-pods to back me up, along with a frigging super tank that could take out a large school in a single shot.

To give some clarification on how incredibly awesome this game was, it was essentially Twisted Metal the MMO in a Fallout-esque setting. Only, one of my last abilities I got as a human commander was the ability to call in a tactical nuclear strike. I also had the ability to call in a Command and Conquer-esque GDI killsat strike on an area, amongst other awesome abilities.

I personally suspect that it was victim to the same sort of bullshit that saw Tabula Rasa's development and advertising campaign get sabotaged several times over, along with it being shitcanned later on. There were indications that executives in NCsoft were being cocks to the developing teams for their games around that period of time. That was also around the time they started trying to go for korean MMO's again, which would indicate someone was pushing for a pretty big shift in the sort of games they were supporting.

There was also the whole thing where a bunch of other groups/companies came forward and offered to buy the rights to Auto Assault and keep running the servers, and NCSoft deliberately turned them down, despite the opportunity to make a profit off of it. Bunch of cocks, they are.

Edit: All this just really makes me want to be able to play Auto Assault again. :(

There were rumors to that effect a while ago.

That a single trailer that was clearly part of a series ("1: The Pig") was released an eternity ago without a peep since isn't overly inspiriting and hopeful. A follow up to a game that wasn't exactly a huge commercial success doesn't jive too well with the market right now, too. It would be my single most anticipated game, or at least tied with the Last Guardian, if it were confirmed for release but...

    ...it probably is canned, though.

    Edit:
Ah, wikipedia to the rescue, sort of:
During the Gamescom convention in August 2009, Ubisoft representatives stated that the game's development was officially on-hold.[12] However, shortly after the convention Ubisoft stated in an interview that work on the title had been neither abandoned nor put on hold.[13] When fans asked for clarifications regarding the mixed signals coming from Ubisoft, a UK forum manager stated that it wasn't technically possible for the game to be delayed since it had not actually been officially announced.[14]

"Mixed signals" is the official word, then.

I'm not sure whether it was cancelled or just never announced, but I want Black 2. I loved the first one. One of my favorite FPS games ever. It was just fun to play. Sniper duel in the graveyard? Glorious.

And my wife is still living in hope that Fear Effect: Inferno will be released in some way. A bunch of the cutscenes found their way onto youtube a while back, and that only made us want it more : (

Isn't this just a poll thread?

I mean, there doesn't seem to be any discussion here, just people picking a game that was cancelled they'd like to play.

I honestly can't tell, so just in case:

I'd love that sequel to Command and Conquer Renegade to come out. I think it was just called Tiberium, but I don't remember.

    Metroid: Dread.

Yeah, we're getting the new Team Ninja Metroid, but I'd kill for a proper 2D sprite-based Metroid on the DS.

I'm convinced that a 2D Metroid project is still in development for the DS. I may be living in a dream world, but I refuse to believe that a 2D Metroid isn't being worked on as we speak.

Yeah, I'm going to say Starcraft: Ghost as well. I bought an Xbox in anticipation for it. I don't regret getting the Xbox, lots of fun was had.

My all time, most crushing game canellation ever though was Babylon 5: Into the Fire. A Newtonian Physics space sim, where you could man the tiniest fighter or command the mightiest flagship. Battles from the television series, battles mentioned in the series, battles inspired by the series, multiple campaigns based on the major races (I think there were going to be at least three in the initial release with plans for expansions down the road), that followed the Story Arcs from the show. All of the in game assets were the same models used in the show, so the fidelity to the show would have been awesome. I still have a grudge against Sierra over this and shutting down Dynamix (the Tribes/Starsiege guys).
