Kind of on a turn based Strategy game kick lately, and I was wondering if there are any you guys can recommend me for PC.
Any and all genres/settings acceptable, as long as it's turn-based.
People are going to point you to Heroes of Might & Magic, XCOM etcetera in a moment, but lemme link you to 2 free MMOs in this genre. They cost you absolutely nothing and maybe you'll enjoy them.
Atlantica Online
A stunning looking TBS offering a persistent world in which guilds can control cities. You can control up to 27 characters on the battlefield whom you can tune just like you want to. However, they age and lose power when they get older. That makes important to keep attracting young blood to fight for you.
Dofus-Arena
[...] Dofus-Arena gives you control over a group of characters, making it into some sort of FF Tactics MMO. There are no levels to grind, and is mostly focused on PvP.

Battle for Wesnoth is a free, open-source turn-based strategy game that is actively under development (although the release versions are generally plenty stable). Its scope is considerable smaller than something like Civilization; a game focuses on one battle, with the economy derived from territory control.
I suggest the old but great Lords of Magic, i've wasted many an hour on that game and regret none of it! (Also I enjoyed and have played through Heroes III quite a few times, don't know about the sequals though)
Medieval II: Total War
Empire: Total War
X-COM: UFO Defense
Jagged Alliance 2
Disciples II
Heroes of Might and Magic V
King's Bounty: Armored Princess
Silent Storm
Blood Bowl
Civilization IV
Freedom Force
Hearts of Iron II
Europa Universalis 3
Sword of the Stars
If you liked the older SSI (well, mid 90's, which isn't really old as such for SSI, I guess) games, try out Elven Legacy which is very similar to Fantasy General (which, in turn, is essentially a fantasy themed Panzer General), but with some nice tweaks and a fairly tough difficulty.
Galactic Civilizations II: Dread Lords. The AI is specifically designed to be as challenging as possible, but without being given the usual cheats like extra resources or stronger units. If that's not hard enough for you, though, you can play on extreme difficulties where the AI gets such bonuses. Also, the spaceship designer is lots of fun to play around with.
The expansions add even more depth. For example, the second expansion, Twilight of the Arnor, gives every race its own unique tech tree.

I think I remember playing this game ages ago (might have been a predecessor) and being really impressed by it.
Civilization IV. With all the mods, scenarios, and expansions, it'll keep you playing for years.
This would be my advice, go buy Civ 4 and the expansions and then play them until you get bored and then come back to this thread. Fortunately by 2050 Civ 5 should be out and we could recommend that to you then.
Look, guys, Civ is awesome but my sister plays Civ.
I love the way that both the games you linked both looked infinitely less fun to play than Civ4, could you please tell us why "my sister plays Civ" is a mark against it, if anything it's a mark for your sister.
King's Bounty: The Legend is good. The demo should give you a good idea of what to expect.
Other than that, Jagged Alliance 2 would be my prime recommendation, you can pick it up from GOG.com.
It's a turn-based, squad level strategy game where you control a group of mercs trying to free an island nation from a dictator. It's pretty awesome, and very tactical.
The game's real-time until combat starts, then it goes turn based. If no enemy is encountered for a couple of rounds (or all the enemies in the sector are eliminated) then it returns to real-time. The combat itself is fairly in-depth, you're going to be flanking, using snipers, smoke to conceal, cover, all the usual stuff.
Aside from combat tactics, there's an RPG element to it in that your mercs level up their skills with use, and also with training. Outside of combat you'll be hiring / firing (mercs cost money dpending on how long you're hiring them for), managing and purchasing equipment, training your squad members, and training militia's to hold the towns that you've captured.
You can have 6 Mercs per squad, and up to four squads (which you can coordinate to assault sectors simultaneously from different angles if you want). By the end of the game you can have a crack team of six, or slightly less elite guys but more of them (I usually just stick with one main squad, and a backup squad that roams around training militia's and doing training).
EDIT: Man seeing that video for Battle Isle 2 makes me want to play it again. I sucked at it as a kid, but it still looks fun even now and I reckon I'd be able to play it now.
Are there any other games like that series? Slightly more recent? I think I've still got the 3 1/4 discs around somewhere but it's not like I can do much with them.

I've just gotten into Evony and am enjoying it alot, but its not quite turn based. It's more "this will take 3 hours to build" and then you leave it.
For the love of god almighty do not play Evony. It is developed by one of the most corrupt and morally wrong companies ever.
Those ads are atrocious.
What is corrupt and morally wrong about it?
Rumors are that Evony is somehow tied to malware and trojans/keyloggers getting onto systems, too b]EDIT[/b]: [url=http://www.bruceongames.com/2009/07/16/is-evony-malware/]Link[/url. At least, I remember reading as much in the news stories where the company that runs the game (A company that also turns a profit goldfarming in WOW) tried to sue bloggers for saying mean things about their game.
Oh, and apparently you have to pay per line of chat. And anything else you want to do.

If you decide to go the Gal Civ II route, pick up the Ultimate Edition. The last expansion (Twilight of the Arnor) gives each race a custom tech tree, and most custom buildings, as well as better textures.

Civ is fairly casual. It's not a mark against it, it's just there's more to life and TBS on the PC than Civ.
Also, those games are from the CivII era and are as equally as fun to play as any Civ.

Civ is fairly casual? It's probably the most complicated computer game I've ever played, at least once you install the expansions.

This tells me more about the other games you play than the complexity of Civ.

What would you consider to be more complicated?
The games Szech recommends for a start. Galactic Civilizations made my brain explode too, although it was still all understandable after a few days of trial & error.

GalCiv's a decent game, but not as enjoyable as the classic MoO 2 when it comes to 4X games. For me, anyway.
So, uh, throw MoO 2 into the arena for tbs suggestions then. MoO 2, X-Com, JA2, HoMM 2/3, Disciples II, Civ IV - my favorite tbs titles.

I dunno, the concept of their advertisement campaign is intriguing just for it's "oh my god what the hell does this have to do with anything?" factor.

Well first of all a ton of graphics are lifted from other games without permission.
Are animu strategy games allowed?
Basically any RPS made by NIS.
Limed for truth.
Seriously. I've been playing this game for about three years now, and I've never really stuck with a game for that long before or since.
It's not the most complex turn based strategy game, but it is the most fun I've ever had with a strategy game.
X-Com
When you get bored of one, start playing the other.
Repeat forever.
The expansions add even more depth. For example, the second expansion, Twilight of the Arnor, gives every race its own unique tech tree.
I can't recommend this game to you hard enough.

There are more TBS games on the PC than Civ, Alpha Centauri and X-COM.

Why has the Total War series only been mentioned once?
Rome: Total War
Medieval 2: Total War
Empire: Total War
Because people asking for turn-based strategy games generally aren't looking for turn-based strategy shells with real-time tactical combat filling?
Other than that, Jagged Alliance 2 would be my prime recommendation, you can pick it up from GOG.com.
