its not a bank card, its a pre-paid debit.

Pre-paid debits are notorious fee monsters.

That's a pretty neat idea. If only I cared about EA Sports.

Call me when they make a Harmonix Visa Debit Card.

No one quoted the best part?
Monthly Service Charge $1.99 per month

    and also
...offer our community of loyal customers a new way to purchase and save on their favorite EA SPORTS game titles...

So, a card that's useful once a year per franchise and will bleed you for the other 11 months. Nice.

    That's pretty obscene.

Not exactly unexpected from EA or from a prepaid Debit Card, but still.

    STAY AWAY. FAR, FAR AWAY.

I was surprised that wasn't pointed out earlier as well. $25/yr for the privilege of owning a shitty card with numerous other fees.

Not to mention that it costs 6500 points for a game. Well how many points do I get per dollar spent? I can't find it anywhere on their site, but I know for most cards its $1 = 1 point. So I have to spend $6500 on this card to get a $60 game for free. Minus the $24/yr fee takes me down to saving $36 a year, assuming I don't incur any other of their ridiculous fees. Yeah, no thanks.
