THE ESCAPIST FILM FESTIVAL
(I couldn't find any thread about the film fest that 'The Escapist' is holding. So I figured it would be totally irresponsible for me to create a thread and name it after the show me and my friend made.)
In all seriousness though...
A little copy & past from the site.
"The Escapist presents the third annual The Escapist Film Festival.
Beginning October 12th, The Escapist will present the best amateur and user-created videos from around the web, and one lucky film maker will receive a grand prize of an exclusive talent contract with The Escapist. Last year's Film Festival had so many great submissions, we had two Grand Prize Winners: Graham Stark and Paul Saunders, stars of Unskippable and Michael Shanks, creator of Doomsday Arcade.
New to the Film Festival are 5 new prize categories: Best Animated Short, Most Original Concept, Best Music Video, Best Mashup and the Viewer Choice Award. The winner of each category will be granted a limited edition badge for their profile on The Escapist and a prize pack!"
Now, my friend and I worked really hard on a show in our spare time. I am not asking you guys to vote for us (VOTE FOR US! DEAR GOD!) but I am asking you guys for your opinions on our show...

We are both trying to find a way to better ourselves and make this worth while. We had issues with the green screen so it was rendered unusable. We couldn't go back and shoot more footage because we were under tight time constructions.
If we do make another episode, we have a list of things we need to do.
-Recreate and enhance the graphics.
-Create a better theme song (what we have now is just some licensee free loops)
-Use a higher quality camera
-Usable green screen or build a better set
-Improve topics and subjects
-Improve our on screen persona's
-Involve the community more in what we do (this was always in mind, but we didn't have anyone watching yet!)
-Be funnier, give more time to the topics and possibly have fewer topics.
So far, we have been getting a mixed reaction to the show. So that is why we are asking for peoples opinions and ideas to make the show better.
Also, if you want to see what is quite possibly the most well shot video in the contest. Go look up 'Dorian's Quest', I voted for them every day since the contest started (since you can vote each day apparently).
So, let this thread be the home for all 'Escapist Film Festival' related topics. Unless there is one already and I wasted 6 minutes of my life writing all this crap.
