Let us establish a theoretical MMORPG.

Person X plays to the highest level possible in said MMO, and sells his account to Web-Based goldseller G.

G sells the account, at markup to Person Y, who promptly changes the password on said account.

Months go by.

Person X gets an e-mail from the producers of said MMO, realizes his e-mail is the contact for the account, and requests a new password. The automated form happily obliges, nuking Person Y's new password in the process. Person X now has his account back.

Person X checks the payment history, and notes that the account has been dormant for at least a month and a half, and none of the characters have been transferred off of the account.

What, then, is person X to do?

Possible options include:

1) Sending a letter from an anonymous address to Person Y, something along the lines of 'LOL NINJA.'
2) Send a letter to Person Y, again from an anonymous address, along the lines of 'sorry d00d, here's your new password.'
3) Sell account back to goldfarmers G.
4) Take a second shot at enjoying said theoretical MMO.[/list]

Presenting a hypothetical like this doesn't make it not breaking the rules, any more than if you were to ask how to hypothetically use emulators.

"Hypothetically" give the guy his damn password back, since he paid you for it, otherwise, it's fucking stealing.
