In New Zealand, bear and beer are homophones, which I find delightful.
"I'm going to the bottle shop."
"Choice. Could you pick me up some bears?"

Also, "yooman" for human,
"mah-ral" for moral,
and "wooder" for water.
It is a mahral imperative to provide clean wooder for every yooman.

A friend of mine would say skim-i-tar, min-i-nar, and tel-i-lort during D&D sessions. The last one was mostly him goofing around, but the first two he really thought they were pronounced that way.

The Ur-Quan Masters project is the sourceforge project to update the source to modern systems. They've got working executables updating the code to current machines and all the source.
I've got a working install and a copy of the source from a couple years back, but I haven't got the latest version or actually ever tried compiling and running the source on my own machine. I've never really had reason to muck about in the code myself, as I never really wanted to do anything to it before.

Wooder is common in Philadelphia, though the Jersey shore area gets a lot of Philly folks anyway
Warshington is another good one I heard one of my teachers use in high school
Now say Bacon in a bad Jamaican accent.
Old but always fun.
"Wooder" is one of those identifying "you are from South Philadelphia" things in my mind. Also, John McCain says Warshington. So now maybe it's popular? I mean, because he is a trendsetter while still remaining a maverick. Yes.
This is very true. Insult the accent and it'll only get stronger and more aggressive.
