The search is useless for this game's title, by the way.
Ok! Ludosity Interactive released
Bob Came in Pieces, on Dec 21. I bought it this morning despite there being no demo, because I am brave. Now all you can profit - that is to say, spend money - from my bravery.
The game costs $9.89 and is 122 megs.
First, the copypaste:
Bob Came in Pieces is a physics based puzzle adventure game where you fly through different levels and solve puzzles with your flying ship. You can rebuild your ship and thus get the most elegant solution for the puzzle you stumble upon.
* Endless rebuilding possibilities.
* Use your smartness to get new ship parts and tools.
* Unlockable levels with challenging puzzles.
* Tailor-made music.
You have this ship, see, and it's broken. It barely works. There are bits of it scattered all over the planet you've crashed on. You collect them with some tricky flying, physicsing, and puzzling. Then, you can reattach the parts you've collected to suit the demands of the environment you find yourself in. Stuff like engines of various strengths, attractors, repulsors, and so forth.
The graphics are smooth, elegant and nice to look at. The dynamic lights are a welcome touch. The physics are spot-on and integral to the gameplay. When I think of the physics in this game it's all very F=MA. Your ship can only pull or push as hard as the engines you've collected and connected. The weight of the ship + parts affects your acceleration and thus, maneuverability (I spelled that right on the first try!).
There are tricky secrets, like alternate solutions to puzzles, and hidden ship parts.
The music is mellow and pleasant.
