Goodbye teaching

Well, not quite sure about saying goodbye yet, but I want to keep my options open.

I have professionally taught 9th grade English for a year and have my BA in English Secondary Education. I simply want to keep my options open, in the event I decide to change careers down the line.

So, my question is: what types of jobs could I realistically compete for and get with a BA in Eng. Education and 1 year of experience?

If you are IT literate, you could become a Trainer. Good money in it - some of my colleagues starting out were ex-teachers. Look for IT Training jobs. Often the interview will consist of a 15 minute session - you could probably do that with your eyes closed. Ironically you'll even use some of the same techniques for controlling the classroom with adults.
