I KILL YOU ITUNES

YOU ARE BUGGY AND A PIECE OF SHIT

:x

Okay, now that I've calmed down some, I tried syncing my iPhone yesterday and instead of adding a couple of songs, it wiped all of the audio off and then told me it couldn't connect to my phone.

Fuck, okay. Just sync it again. Nope. It gets about 40 or 50 songs into the nearly 2000 I had in my playlist before it tells me it has stopped responding, or it can't write to disk, or a few other things.

Basically, is there another way to put music on my iPhone? Because I can't stand this hunk of whale feces that is iTunes.

Okay, well, I still hate iTunes, but it's not the problem.

I installed third-party syncing software and it comes up with basically the same thing, "error checking disk size" or somesuch

So maybe it's the phone? It is jailbroken, should I just forget about all that nifty stuff and update to 3.12 firmware, hoping that fixes the problem?

After more thought, I think maybe this is related to using storage devices through USB since I upgraded Windows 7. I can't access my external hard drive and haven't been able to for months, and it started on the day of my OS upgrade. I haven't tried to sync since then either.

Any ideas? I may be posting alone in here but I'm still going to keep asking for help...

Well, I was up until about 1 AM last night but I think I finally found the problem. Apparently the NVIDIA USB hardware is buggy on 64-bit operating systems and any external storage devices that go through USB will have trouble being read. There's a Windows 7 hotfix available for the issue. If anybody ever reads this thread, it worked for me, at least so far.

Thanks for the help, MSTT. This can be closed.
