If anyone wants to feel good about themselves I'd be up for skirmishing. I'm pretty terrible.

Just got this in the steam sale and would be down for some games. I'm Bluefoot on Steam.

I tried to like sup com 2 so much. I really really did.

They just went a completely different direction that what they started with totall annihilation.

Kind of. But I suppose they felt that if they just kept doing it exactly the same it wouldn't be very good over and over again. And I agree, we still have TA. I just enjoy what they did with Sup Com 2.

I came into the game blind, having never played any of the earlier games. Since I was a little more tabula rasa I found myself enjoying it quite a bit.

Not just more of the same, but I always imagined the scale would just keep getting bigger and bigger. Which would have been amazing because that was the draw of the first games.

Supcom2 is just so tiny. The scale is just weird with how they did the environments. And I actually think the game looked worse than the first.

EDIT: Just lettin people know if thats what they liked about the series before, think twice before buying.

The scale is still pretty damn big. I mean, getting a full 500/500 in a game is pretty grand.

Also the DLC's maps are more on the grand scale. And really if you get the insane 4v4s and such. Really the scale isn't as grand as SC1, but it trades that for not taking 30 minutes for the game to feel like it has really started.

    They are pretty grand.

I remember when I used to be excited for this game.

Then I got it and it quickly became a game of 'out cheesing'.

That's how TA and Sup com 1 were too. That hasn't changed.

I have finally rebuilt my pc desk top, I took Supcom2 for a try on skirmish ai hard, did not win one game against the ai, but the game is such fun, went to bed at 0400 in the morning.
I love how units are not made obsolete by researching, and how they subtly change their roles ie rock head gets the dps of a titan and greater range for it's guns, but the titan is faster yet more fragile lending it self to raiding.

Ok after buggering around with UEF ( my old favs) and Cyberan, I have opted to make the chip heads my faction, I hate tanks espically compared to the awsum sause of all mech armies. The UEF mechs are a poor show as the uef tanks rockheads have identical DPS and better life and shields.
