I just installed sp3 onto my xp system and now I can't even get a windows loading screen. It won't even load from the windows disc. Not sure what to do...

Can you boot into Safe Mode or into the Last Known Good Configuration?

What happens after you hit any key to boot from the CD? Are you sure the system is trying to boot off of the CD or skipping it and going straight to the hard drive?

The cd drive is set as the main boot device but it's skipping it think. It loads my mother board then says windows failed to load.

    Do a repair install.

    Boot off of the CD
Select install windows (Not recovery console)
It should detect your old install and ask if you want to repair it
    Select repair
    Let it do it's thing
