Guess what bitch, there are like... 30 of us that play... EVERYDAY!
Captain K told me to say that. We're on US East in the channel Clan GNT and we're pretty good and welcome to new people. If anyone feels like playing right now, I'm up for it. Hop on Ventrilo, as it's 3000x better to play there. There's even a few dedicated channels devoted to dota!
Name is Archonwarp on East.
Throw this into the OP:
Dota is a form of AOS (Aeon Of Strife) [A popular starcraft map]. An AOS entails large computer-controlled armies of regular units (creeps) against one another, with player-controlled hero units fighting amongst them. The objective being to destroy the opponents base. Great fun happiness ^_^

Actually, I may join up with you guys tomorrow. I played with you once and it was good fun (I believe I was Venomancer, and got horribly raped, as it was League team versus non-league).
Oh holy shit yes. Too bad you guys are all on Azeroth.
I've clocked probably 3000+ games of DOTA, always in pubby matches, always hosting. I'm good with easily 50 of the heroes, and awesome with perhaps twenty.
I should be banned from playing Priestess of the Moon (my favorite at this point, undefeated in maybe 50 games), Nerubian Assassin (I had a 47 game winning streak with him), Pugna (always the dark horse pick, never underestimate Pugna), Queen of Pain (another underdog that surprises everyone when the triple kills start coming in), Viper (his bugged poison attack makes him beastly), Soul Keeper (impossible to kill in the hands of a skilled player), and Tinker (the best pusher in the game, period) because it's game over if I pick them.
The remaining 29 or so, I can still put up a decent game. I've come back from 1v3s, 1v4s, 2v5s, and like to challenge people to 1v2s just to demonstrate that yes, I am that good. I bought the WC3 Battle chest for my brother for Christmas to introduce him to the greatest PVP game to ever exist, and now he too is hooked even though he can only play 3 heroes well. Soon I'll make him a DOTA master.
When I get beat, it's usually when I get a bad random (Visage, Death Prophet, Zeus, Enchantress, etc.) and my enemies get a badass combination of picks or randoms. It's also usually when a team with good communication and teamwork joins the opposing side (I call them butt buddies, people who join pubby matches together).
I usually play 3v3 but only because I never play -EM, and it isn't as popular; -ar and -ap work equally well and I do like 5v5 if I can get the people for it.
If anyone wants to get their DOTA on in my games, add AresProphet to your friends list on Lordaeron and PM me with your name, I'll add you to mine and get you a slot in anything I host if you're online. If I'm not in a game, I'm in channel ares. You can find me online about 3-5 nights a week, between 8pm and 2am Pacific time. I play anywhere from 2-7 games a night.
I don't tolerate spamming, lagging, leaving, or general idiocy in my games; noobs are welcome, because unless you feed horribly I can probably make up for your lack of skill. I don't lag, have reasonable pings for being on a regular cable modem, and enjoy a little friendly trash talking.
I'm down, but I really haven't played TFT dota only RoC. So I'm not really familiar with the insane amount of heroes, but I have the general gist of things work. I will probably be on tonight.

I thought I'd point out that generally being good in pub matches means little to nothing. Even getting into more coordinated games and doing well (such as clan TDA) doesn't necessarily mean you are very good. Also playing as host all the time gaurantees a small advantage.
I'm not saying you are bad, but you should consider getting into some more organized games as pubbies are pretty aweful. Lower skill level (generally), and leavers.

TFT DOTA is pretty much the same. They've added some extra shit but the basic gameplay is similar, and if you were good at it before you'll be good at it now.

I've played a bit here and there as well as variations (Plains of Fear) but my item buying / saving strategy tends to suck. I'm aware of the secret shops, but generally have little idea how to effectively work my way towards such items.
delfonic on Azeroth. I'm not quite as 'leet as the guy who's played 3000+ games, but I know my way around. I'd appreciate playing with/against skilled players who don't leave and will try to catch the lot of you on at clan GNT.

There are a lot of changes due to the TFT editor listening to public opinion way to much.

I was actually going to play a game with you guys at one point, but your vent chan is password locked and chan is restricted. Fix this and I will play some dota (I am pretty good).
edit: but I believe that just means no one's in the clan chan.

I'd love to play this, but I'm so intimidated by learning the obscure item craft system (plus, what actually works and what doesn't) in a pub game with all the d00ds laffing at me and calling me nublet.
That said: I once ganked somebody with Razor. You know, that lightning dude.

Dazzle, not only being a gay name, can be a BEAST of a support.

50 second cooldown on an ult that pretty much acts like a castable Aegis. And the effect doesn't wear off. It needs to have a duration, because right now a team with Dazzle is pretty much unbeatable. I'm actually thinking that making it passive would be best, and it gets triggered with a cooldown if someone near him dies. Think Leoric's ult, but as an aura or maybe even a global.
Edit: I'm online right now, and in Vent. Anyone up for a game?

but be advised those forums are only up every third hour
Man! I was looking for that so I could post it!
Go to the forums listed in the post above yours, read, and practice in pubs

Sever/nick, G?
I'm AnotherRedShirt on Az.
On the plus side I learned that nobody fears the Nightstalker.
