Well, long story short, my brother will be living with me for the next 6 months.
He has his own laptop, I have my own laptop, the first thing to came to my mind was "playing together some cooperative game using both our laptops"
I'm more of a console oriented guy, so I lack a solid knowledge on this matter, so any suggestions?
(please, no strategy games ala AOE, or extremely demanding games from a technical perspective)

Of course someone had to say it. It's one of the best damn coop games of all time.
Adding to the thread, System Shock 2 (good luck finding it though). Also, just about every RTS has team alliances and bots, so you can just pick your favorite. Personal faves are Starcraft (zerg rush kekeke) and Red Alert 2.
Does the network play actually work for it? XML2's netcode was a buggy disaster that was only playable if your computers weren't trying to do anything else... such as run the game.
Since I'm having a little trouble using the internets, let me ask a related question:
What's a good, sys link, co-op Xbox game? Cheap, if possible, but it seems like my options are so limited that I'll take what I can get.

So, I just got me Dungeon Siege (the first one, mind you), soley for multiplayer coop purpose. I haven't started it yet, but remembering as some people used to refer to it as the most beatiful screensaver ever, I'm expecting more action-based combat.
Now here's my qestion: Good purchase or am I a fool for throwing away money?
May be hard to find but its worth it. It has a different control scheme than most other games, but really fun. When you download all the patches there is a Coop mode that you can play on LAN.

Hey, someone had to say it eventually.
Kind of high-spec for laptop gaming though, isn't it?
