Hey H/A forums.

Heading down to Montreal this weekend. I'm looking for a place to eat that falls in the hole in the wall category.

I'm looking for something small, minimal seating, with great food you won't find elsewhere.

Any suggestions?

Not sure I'd call it a hole in the wall, but ever since I saw it on Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations, I've been dying to go.

I was in Montreal 2 weeks ago. We loved O. Noir. I have no idea how big it is or how many people it seats, you eat in pitch black.

Small, unique restaurant, with minimal seating, in Montreal? If this were a guessing game, my guess would be Schwartz's.

three great suggestions so far. i actually like O Noir once you get passed the whole "i hope they didnt shit in my plate cause i cant see anything" feeling. its also really accessible about 2 minutes from Guy/Concordia Metro.

i have to put a vote to M-Brgr. its like this haute-cuisine style burger place. my girl took me there for valentine's day and i fell in love. its on Drummond between de Maisonneuve and Sherbrooke.

Oh yeah, this place is really great. Though it's quite famous and not so big so you absolutely need to make reservations.

Oh and VisionOfClarity, glad you enjoyed O.Noir!
