Miniatures for D&D

I'm getting back into D&D gaming (I haven't played since 2nd Ed - lol). I've seen that the game has become very miniature based these days.

What are some people using for miniatures? 25mm scale? Any good/cheap companies out there to pursue?

Well, Wizards does make its own line of plastic pre-painted D&D minis, scaled appropriately. Some of the models are quite good; some less so. Reaper is a good alternative for (usually) higher-quality minis, albeit metal.

I always use Reaper minis. Even unpainted they look better to me than the d&d minis figs.

Go to Staples, buy some card stock paper, Google Image Search some cool graphics, and make your own!
