SE developed games not worth a tenner.

Anything on the NES that doesn't have Rad Racer or Final Fantasy in the title.

    The Bouncer
    iphone FF 1, 2.
Any Mana game after Legend, with the possible exception of Sword of Mana.
    FF V Anthologies version.

    and that's about it.

I couldn't stand the interface, which is really troubling considering ff1 is more or less a 6 button game, and four of those are just cardinal directions!

tonberries have always been scary as shit

they're usually the nastiest non-boss monsters in their respective game, along with Malboros

FFIX replaced them with the Yans for nastiness, but the tonberries in that one were still mean customers

As much as I dislike a lot of things about VIII, I've had a strange urge to play it again. I can almost guarantee that after an hour I'd be wondering why I'm wasting my time and quit, though. Unless you really love it, I can't see your situation ending any differently.

VII surprisingly held up well. When I played it again for the LP, I was actually having fun doing so. Granted I was also imagining what silly stuff I'd get to write about it, but still.

I wish I had known that the PSN store charges tax. I bought a $20 card, go to buy FFVII and VIII, and it turns out I can only afford one. And the kicker is, after I pay for it, I learn that, even if I cleared my entire memory stick (I have the one that comes with the system), it STILL wouldn't have enough space.

This pissed me off after having waited like an hour to download all the new firmware and create an account and stuff.

    Does it depend on State?

Because when I moved from New Mexico to Illinois, the taxes changed on my Wii VC titles.

VIII is the only FF I haven't replayed because it took too much out of me. That's because I hit Disc 4 and the Card Queen had all, random, same wall, and plus. Totally my fault because I'd just fucked around with TT before hand, not really giving a shit. Obviously that fucked me in the end. I probably spent more time on playing cards with her than the entire rest of the game. What the fuck is she even doing with her arms after you challenge her?

Every few years I try to replay it but I always hit a road block once Triple Triad comes in. This will be the same for XIII because there's not really anything amazing about it to combat the fucking turtles. I've been saying for weeks now that I'll grind out the dark matter I need since I've got enough traps but it sucks.

hhmmm....we are missing only 3 trophies right now. One of which (treasure hunter) we will not take the time to get. So that leaves us two trophies....and I could use a little help please.

Adamant Will - Slay a Long Gui. Our Crystarium is maxed and I have an ultimate weapon for my main 3 that I tend to always use (Fang, Lightning, Hope). I could use a few tips for the long gui. Do I just simply need to get incredibly good at seeing when he raises his legs (hard to see at times due to camera angles) and switching to tortoise for every stomp and ultima cast and bay/roar or whatever? I can beat a Shaolin Gui...took a while and we only did it once, just to do it. I am not in the business of getting a bunch of dark matters and I don't have a need/want for any more traps. So...just once, I want to kill a Long Gui.

On a side note...all missions are done with 5 stars. WOOT!

When you go to the trophy list on the PS3...it puts them in order for you. The very very top/first trophy that is on the list we do not have. What it is and how did we miss it? What do I need to do?

Oh yeah?!?!?!?! I have a 3rd question. Themes...how do we get them? We have Lightning, Snow, Hope, Vanille and Sazh. How do we get Fang and what is the 7th theme/how do you get it?

Replayin' XIII, it's a lot more fun when actually using the paradigm system. All those trouble spots I had the first time have just... melted away.

Also I'm beginning to think Vanille is one of the better-realized characters in the series. Still kind of annoying, but.

Fang - Treasure Hunter - requires getting every weapon and accessory (though not at the same time; you can upgrade Bangles, for instance, and it'll still count the one you upgraded from), then interacting with Bhakti in Oerba.

Serah - Ultimate Hero - get every other trophy.

In other words, Treasure Hunter is pretty much necessary to get the final themes.

EDIT - As for Long Guis, you can always go the cheap way of converting fully upgraded Doctor's Codes into Elixirs, then abusing summons. Like the cheap way of fighting Adamantoises/Adamantortoises, only you refill your TP as they get back up, just so you can knock them down with another summon.
