Keeping Bald

A friend is looking for any tips about staying bald without shaving constantly.
I figured there would be some form of product out there, but I'm coming up empty really.

For some reason I always thought head wax did that, but when I thought about it I felt like a silly goose.

those nair things might be okay for your head

if he's looking into permanent, he can always get laser hair removal

and you can wax your head, yeah? Like the wax you put on and then rip off

I don't think there is. Nair and stuff could be pretty painful and take just as long as (if not longer than) shaving

He should probably just invest in a Headblade and just go over his head every morning in the shower

Yea, Nair is kinda a pain (so I've heard from yet another friend who used it on his chest a lot).
Heh and what I meant on the wax, was the stuff bald people put on their held for that nice shine.
    Not actual waxing.

The head razor sounds pretty good though.

A close shave allows you to shave less often. Nair works about the same way; ie it removed the hair at the surface. Laser is permanent and not cheap, but why risk always being bald?
Eppilators (electric tweezers) are scary, painful, but work well if you can get past those.

The only way is to rip it out using the previously mentioned methods.

Continually shaving can get annoying. I just consider it a ritual now.

Damn, all these years and millions of feminine products I felt for sure they would be something.

Though I don't think he knew specifically of head razors, so in the end we have a positive.

    Thanks gents.

Even if you rip out hair follicles, a nearby stem cell repository will replenish them

Enough damage over time can make the follicles say "You know what? Fine. You're a goose and I'm not growing again."

wait are there specific razors for shaving your head?

I've just been using a fusion razor, which is fine most of the time but occasionally stirs up some irritation

Seconding the vote for a HeadBlade. I bought one at Wal-Mart for like 10 bucks when I was shaving my head and I LOVE it. Takes a bit of getting used to but my god it was fantastic.

Electrolysis is an option, although not cheap.
