I have recently formatted my computer and installed Ubuntu on it. How do I put music on/delete music from my Ipod? I've been trying in Rhythmbox, banshee, amarok and gtkpod and not been able to do it in any of them.

What generation iPod do you have?

This is crucial in determining if your iPod is supported.

I was under the impression that recently software like Rhythmbox, Banshee, etc., were all able to copy/paste music from and into an iPod. Are you trying the latest versions?

It's an iPod nano fifth generation.

Rhythmbox and Banshee don't seem to be able to see the music that's currently on it.
