    How lady-like of you.

Well, I was making this (linked for huge), which is the most lady-like thing I've ever made, so yes. :P

How does knitting lead to you smelling like a wet alpaca?

    Also, nice job!

    no man

I am just entertaining the notion

because surprisingly, it would seem I qualify under the highly-skilled worker requirements

but I will ask my wife when I get home and she will be like BLAH BLAH we can't move there without jobs!

and then I will hit her with a belt (no wider than my thumb)
it hurts more if you put holes in it

Well, she's kinda right. Moving across an ocean without a job planned just because you qualify to move across an ocean is kind of a silly plan.

That said, you should definitely hit her for talking back to a man. Completely inappropriate female behaviour, even if the man is just you.

Crochet. It's 'cause it needs to be blocked after it's finished (that is, wet down in slightly soapy water then squeezed and laid out flat to dry, so the stitches smooth out and stretch to the right shape). The yarn I used is an alpaca-wool blend, so the whole house smells of wet alpaca and the bergamot oil I added to the water along with the shampoo.

    Thank you. :D

The Flux Contiuum's movement is affected by your presence, which is the point—it's all about change and cycles and of course, weirdness. Four proximity sensors detect how close or far away you are, and the closer you get, the more frequently it assembles the three-dimensional Möbius strip out of the seemingly random movement...

    Man what?

I'm not quite sure, but there may be a video on their site here.

I.C.U. began as a project to explore mind control, but, constrained the limits of like, reality, it was boiled down to the next best thing: Eye control.

The setup, which is simple. You calibrate the tracker by staring at 12 points, and then look at the object you want to vaporize. It worked pretty well, all things considered—a little laggy, but I was totally able to pop Justin Bieber's head, along with a variety of other fruit, by looking real hard in whichever direction.

If a gaggle of students can come up with an eye-tracking game that works this well, I'm a little teary at the thought of marathon gaming sessions when massive companies decide this is the next thing after gamers get tired of bouncing in place with the Wii and Project Natal. Our eyes will hurt, and then we'll all be fat again.

The evolution of reducing the amount of effort needed to play games.

    1. Gamepad-controlled videogames. Gamers just sit there pressing buttons with their fingers to play games.
    2. Eye-controlled videogames. Gamers just sit there moving their eyes to play games.
    3. Mind-controlled videogames. Gamers just sit there thinking about playing games.
    4. Auto-controller videogames. Gamers just sit there looking at the games playing themselves.

    AWESOME

    Mullah Omar has been captured.

That's a very big win for Obama.

It's like if Bush had captured Bin Laden instead of creating a war to line the pocket books of his buddies.
