How do I take this hard drive out

So, there is this hard drive. I need to take it out. There are two screws holding it in. I remove them. It still doesn't budge. I check the other side. No screws. I'm not sure what to do.

That's a picture of the drive in the cage or whatever you call it.

What am I missing?

That metal bit in the center of the rail looks like a catch. Try pressing it in to see if that releases.

er, no luck. If we're talking about the same metal piece. I tried all of them.

Have you tried just pulling? Both the shiny clips just look like pressure/friction clips, using the lip around the top of the drive to hold it in place.

That's what I was thinking because some drive slots are pretty damn tight.

It's a gateway dx4200-09 "multitasking monster." That probably doesn't help you but that's all I know.
So, I just want to yank on it as hard as possible? I guess that could work, I did not pull all that hard for fear of breaking something. I'll try it tomorrow, I can't get to the computer until then.

Looks like steady pressure should pull that right out.

I mean, as long as everything is unplugged from it you should be fine. They're built pretty solid.

I've dealt with a lot of Gateway cases at work (though by virtue of that one having what looks to be SATA cables, it's newer than the ones I've used) they love those friction clips. If you've taken all the screws out and you can't see any obvious slidy or twisty rail clips, then it's just a thing of those metal bits holding it tight. Steady pulling should do it. Slowly increase until it starts to move.

It took awhile but I got it out. You guys were right.

I think it was stuck or something, because it slides in and out pretty easy now.
