I mentioned this in the Dresden Files thread, but thought I might get more bites if I started a thread for it.
I've wanted to GM something for a while now, but it seemed to me that the learning curve for GMing a setting like D&D was a bit...high. I just don't know as much about the world of D&D as I do about, say, Harry Potter or the Dresden Files or something, and there is a lot to know.
So then, when the Dresden Files core rulebooks were released, I realized: my time has come. I've read everything but the short stories from the Dresden series, so I don't feel like I'm lost when it comes to matters of lore, politics, and magic.
Basically, I have 2 phases of the game planned out, entitled "Pleasure Cruise" and "Turf Wars", respectively.
Pleasure Cruise takes place aboard a small ship, and is relatively short -- less than a week of in-game time. After that's over, the players can decide whether they're having enough fun to want to continue on to Turf Wars. If not, no problem, consider this the PbP equivalent of a one-shot. ;-)

I have 6 pre-genned characters, but all of them are open to customization if you see something you'd like to change/add. A familiarity with the Dresdenverse is preferred, but not necessary; one or more of the characters are in-the-dark about all of their world's supernatural elements, so perhaps you and your character can learn together.
We'll probably be using a mix of forum-posting and Google Wave, but I'm not particular.

I'll be going for a very Agatha Christie, "And Then There Were None" sort of vibe with this. Players won't be privy to each other's character sheets, and there will be ample opportunity for taking actions in secret, via PM. By the end of this phase, however, it's unlikely that there will be very many secrets left between players -- Turf Wars will be much more action-and-politics, less mystery.

I'll pm you with more information regarding what sort of character I want to play as soon as I see what's possible, but I've got a high level of familiarity with the Dresdenverse, having read all the books and etc. Enough to be a cool person.
Sweet. I've got a good mix of characters, one of them should be able to match what you're looking for.

Here's what happens next:
1. We'll be running this game over Google Wave, unless someone has a severe problem with that (and I can't see why they would?). PM me with your Google Wave account, and I'll add you to a wave containing your character sheet, as well as a wave for IC interaction. We'll keep OOC interaction here, I think, just so that if Wave goes down we'll still have an easy way to touch base with each other.
2. Read over your character sheet, if you have any questions (which is likely, because I'm sure that I'll forget to write something down) ask about them in the private wave where your character sheet is.
3. Remember: There may be certain things on your character sheet you'd rather keep secret from the other players. For one thing, it adds to the atmosphere of mystery and suspicion, which is fun. For another thing, you should remember that knowledge is power, and if you end up at cross-purposes with another player's character, you'd rather they know as little about you as possible.
