It isn't cheating. It is just using a hidden feature!

That and most items you can only get once won't break the game if you duplicate them with the exception of the master ball.

My wife uses Emerald's cloning trick all the time for Master Balls but nothing else and then only uses said Master Balls to catch Legendaries.

I don't see why it would be an issue. It's not like you're making all 31 IV pokemon with wonderguard and mean look, lock on, fissure ,and Sheer cold

Woot! I'm this close to finally being able to abuse the RNG on my actual SoulSilver cart! Awesome. I'm abusing for a Latias. I might actually use a ball other than a Master Ball. Nest Ball is the stupidest one since it doesn't suit Latias, so I think I'll go with that (everybody on Smogon has them in Love Balls and Fast Balls).

If I had more Heavy Balls I'd use those, but it seems that Kurt knows when I change the DS's clock.
