I'm really surprised no one suggested to Cronus teh very obvious likelihood that what he's referring to isn't a word but an acronym so trying to figure out how it's spelled based on pronunciation could be hopeless. It could be ASCP, ASCAAP, AASCP, and on and on. Probably most of the other tools in the office don't know how it's spelled because they just repeat the acronym.
Do you guys ever have just plain standard tea over there?
What is plain standard tea
We like to have names to our flavors.
I'm thinking you just don't have it over there. We have all the usual different types, (Twinings do a pretty awesome range), but the most drunk by far is never called anything other than just Tea. It think its much less bitter than most of the stuff you have, as its drunk in far greater quantities. PG Tips is probably the most well known brand.

Thats entirely possible. Either way hopefully I can get a job there and find out.
I'm a coffee drinker myself, but I do love Lipton's Raspberry Iced Tea. It's actual iced tea and not a tea flavored soda.

I wonder if your english breakfast is close....
Dogg I have Twinings all the time
Twinings are well known for their differnt types of tea, but its only in the last six months that they've actually produced what we'd call a normal tea. I think its called Twinings everyday.
All my tea says pure Ceylon tea, which i've come to understand it means it was grown in Sri Lanka.
So is that a good thing or is it just a preference thing because tea grown in different regions will have different characteristics?
Yeah, all the different ypes have different characteristics, even different parts of the leaf of the same plant have different flavours, which is why most teas are a blend of differnet types. Master blenders are highly skilled individuals who make sure the tea they are producing always has the same flavour.
I think Ceylon and Assam are two of the most common tea plants.
Like the Japanese tea ceremonies?
Where all you can talk about is the tea, but really you are talking to the shogun about affairs of state through way too many levels of nuance and inflection?
EDIT: Man I should re-read Shogun.

can someone explain why in the fucking name of shit 2nd day shipping always takes 4 or more days to arrive
IF IT TAKES MORE THAN 2 DAYS IT IS A LIE AND MY SHIPPING SHOULD BE FREE

Well assuming that after it has actually been SHIPPED by the seller and THEN it takes four days to get to you despite being two day shipping. It may have to do with your location. Either you're in a shitty spot for their routes or your local dispatch is a fuck-up.
Is it all services, USPS, UPS, FedEX?

Its UPS
they fuck me everytime
I seem to have really good luck with FedEx, sadly a lot of places don't give you a goddamned choice of delivery service when ordering

NO place I ever order from online gives me the option.
Fucking waiting on a package from target through USPS and in the tracking is say Jan. 17th - Notified carrier of pick-up. and nothing since. So basically as far as I know they called for a package pick-up two days ago and thats it so far.
Only bought something because I had a gift card. Got a DS game.
fedex is pretty good but if they ever lose your shit the only two people who can help you find it are someone who lives in india or someone only fluent in ebonics

I'm leaning towards the first two but I had Earl Grey last night (its my favorite).

EDIT: The English Breakfast Wiki is pretty short and listed most those brands you said were popular.
I think I'll go and make a tea. I've only had one mug so far this morning.

All this talk of tea got me thirsty.

Well I'm turning in for the night. I'll check in tomorrow and probably learn way to much about tea.

Instead I'm taking taiko.

I always forget this when I am ordering something on friday.
