    just as well because the place next door that usually has a big party isn't doing it this year anyway

    I was in our glorious nation's capital for Canada Day a few years ago, that was a giant party I tell you what. Lots of fun though.

    Also we're only technically celebrating the 4th (and still current) constitution we've had. None of the previous three happened on July 1st, and it was only named Canada starting with the second. So yeah.
