Lesnar on the left, and Carwin on the right.
With an upset victory last night at UFC 116, Brock Lesnar, a former WWE superstar, proved to the MMA world that he can overcome some adversity in the octagon. Rocked hard by challenger and Colorado native Shane Carwin, who is known for his heavy hands, with a fierce uppercut in the first round, Lesnar was put on his heels and was quickly taken to the mat by Carwin, who is a former Division 2 national champion wrestler.
Here's Shane Carwin, punching Brazilian mauler Gabriel Gonzaga
right in his face.
Carwin couldn't, despite vicious ground-and-pound, put Lesnar away, and so the fight went to the second round. Shane Carwin, in 12 fights, has never been out of the first round, and has knocked out every single opponent he has faced in the first two minutes of the first round, so now we finally got to see him in an endurance contest, and brother it was not pretty. Brock Lesnar controlled the second round until sinking an arm-triangle choke and forcing Carwin to tap.
This was an important fight for Brock Lesnar, who's just come off surgery on his intestines and a case of mononucleosis. As the heavyweight champion, he couldn't fight, so Shane Carwin had the Interim belt. Brock Lesnar has, once again, proven himself to be a serious contender in the heavyweight division.
Lesnar showing off his really, really dumb tattoo.
Also fighting last night, for the second time in three weeks might I add, is one of my favorite fighters, Chris "The Crippler" Leben! After coming off a victory two weeks ago, Chris Leben took a fight against Japanese fighter Yoshihiro Akiyama. Akiyama was scheduled to fight Wanderlei "The Axe Murderer" Silva, a Brazilian man who reportedly beat several hundred thousand people to death in an orgy of violence likened unto a Biblical catastrophe in its ferociousness. Also he was injured or something.
Leben is known for his chin. I've seen him be pretty much knocked out on his feet and score a KO several times. The dude has one of the biggest hearts in the sport, and has had a pretty rough life, so it's good to see him earning the notice that I think he deserves. You can bet with two wins over top opponents in only 3 weeks, UFC big-wigs are definitely taking notice.

Dear satan I wish for this or maybe some of this....oh and I'm a medium or a large.
Also what is the schedule for free programs? And do they have a way to watch streaming online live yet? I would like to watch more MMA but if the only way I can is PPV it aint happening.
you are SO funny!
i've never heard this joke before!
seriously, you should be a stand-up comedian!
Steam
There are lots of UFC fight nights on SpikeTV, the network which also airs the reality show Ultimate Fighter. Online streaming is strictly of the non-legal variety, so I suggest avoiding it. The fights are expensive, yeah, but a lot of times Spike will re-air it for free like a few weeks later.
Also, Brock Lesnar is like 6'3", 265 lbs. He's a big guy.
edit: Brock Lesnar is like a big shaved grizzly bear with ugly tattoos and a thirst for human tears.
you can make him tap out
and if you're Death you can even give him a disease that would have killed most people
but you just can't stop him

also brock lesnar really is pretty impressive. the dude has improved by leaps and bounds in every single ufc appearance.
almost dying took the edge off
well dana's a huge prick
and the ultimate fighter is required to have at least one huge prick as a coach
so i doubt he cared that much
He's not a terrible striker, actually. Just not a technically deep one. He throws straight, hard, and commited with a good power chain. There are worse strikers in the UFC.
He's a really, really great wrestler, too. He might as well be facing double amputees for all the obstacle most people's legs present.
I just would really like him to be the super heavyweight champ at 310 instead of cutting so much weight
Just like I would like there to be a lightweight belt
and the PPVs to be 2-3 fights longer with shorter hype between fights.
