Significantly Better Madden on 360?

I was looking to pick up Madden on the 360 and was curious if there was any consensus on which was the 'best' Madden to play? This is mostly for my own interest and practice to play with friends, so I'm not super tied down to the latest roster and such.

Or is Madden 2010 like the best one of the bunch?

I am in the business of saving lives.

7-9 were all pretty darned close...

10 definately ups the tackling animation, tackling AI, blocking AI as well as a bunch of others to make it really stand out as a better version. Also, stats seemed a bit more balanced, in older versions of madden you had a range of team abilities from like 75-90, now its from like 64-94. Same with players. Before you had 80s being crappy players and 95s being great with 99s being all the household names. Now, your third WR or CB is lucky to be mid 70s.

7-9 were all like the same.

That being said, madden is the devil.

Whats that, Im playing as the lions, finally about to beat the saints on All Madden, yay! Oh look, my guy fumbled it. Oh look, the next play their RB broke 4 tackles and ran 80 yards for a TD. Oh now I just fumbled the kick off. Now Breese just broke a sack, and launched a TD up 35 yards. Oh, now Im desperate and I went for it on 4th down, but it looks like I got it! Except now my WR has broken a tackle which caused his animation to take him back over the first down line, where he is promptly tackled for a loss of downs.

Oh look, now ive turned off my xbox and am crying.
