Clip-on neckties.

Ah, the velcro of formal and business attire, the venerable, clip-on. They are indeed great.

However, is the ease and comfort really worth the perpetual state of apprehension, anxiety and tension you would feel while wearing one with only a mere telltale scent of fear and perspiration giving the whole charade away?

Also, it's only 10 dollars.

I long for the day when we choose our fashions based on their practical merits rather than fancy rituals that are too complicated for the plebs.

if a suit is too complicated for a person, i might question their ability to live, let alone choose fashion.
women's suits might be a bit more complicated

Police wear clip-ons in case they are wrestling with some suspect, in case the bad guy grabs their tie it breaks away instead of choking them.

Man, it takes like two minutes to properly tie a tie, not that difficult. Besides, it's always the best feeling after dressing up all day when you can unbutton the top button of a dress shirt, loosen that tie, and roll up the sleeves

You start getting it on with your woman.

She grabs your tie and pulls you towards the bedroom.

The clip comes off and you both stare at the limp tie in her hands for a while.

She says she suddenly has to go.

    You die alone.

chicks have much deeper fashions than men, it's not fair.

You're a guy and you want to look nice? Here, wear this suit that men have worn for thousands of years. Whereas female fashion is always changing and broadening.

say what you want about Japan, but they got some pretty cool men's fashions over there. same for Hong Kong.

i could cite Italy, but most of the Italian dudes i know who did not grow up in the US are idiotic.

I have dressed in drag for rocky horror a couple of times, and for a womanless beauty pagent another time.

But anyway clip on ties are the upper body equivalent to socks with sandals. Or crocs.
