joan's rape scene was fucking horrible
even as desensitized as I am to things, that was a chore to watch

That was fucking terrible and untrue to Don per his arc for Season 4 in almost every way. The only way I can think of it being legit is if Wieners only goal was to show some horribly depressing fact of life that people never change and Don's course in Season 4 was to go in a circle back to who he was when he met Betty.
I liked it! I think Megan is so different from Betty and they showed that really well this episode...Betty being a raging crazy bitch like never before, Megan being totally cool (did you see Don's face when she was like "It's just a milkshake, yo").
Betty is how she is with her kids because of marriage, and well, having to raise kids. Megan is 25 and doesn't even have a personality. The point of Season 4 was for Don to learn and change, but instead he massively regressed to who he was when he first met Betty. Aside from that in itself being annoying and setting up Season 5 to be a failure, tonight's episode itself was just unconvincing with Don saying things he would never say, saying them in ways that felt awkward.
