so the Scott Pilgrim movie is out

and getting murdered in the box office

it's a damn shame, because pretty much everyone who's seen it here has liked it, and you should probably see it too!

    I read somewhere yesterday that Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz had similar rocky starts and the following weeks they picked up more. So that'll probably happen this time around maybe.

    Michael Cera did absolutely fine in this

    He actually turned out to be pretty much as perfect as everyone else was for their respective roles

    Especially Brandon Routh, holy shit

    My friends who never read the books said scott reminded them a lot of Fry from futurama

    I just have a problem with stories where there's like this perfect quirky dream girl whose hair is dyed some unnatural color and she's all "alternative" or whatevs and some boring normal uninteresting guy falls in love with her and suddenly his life is so crazy and exciting

    You're right, I prefer to have my movies half-assed by a bunch of people pretending it's no big deal that millions of dollars are being invested in a commercial work of art.

    Also, I knew dick all about this franchise before watching the movie tonight. I also wish I could drown all hipsters ever. After watching it I have no idea how anybody could call it a product of hipsterdom.
    Especially since Scott spends the later part of the movie telling hipsters to go fuck themselves.
