I was vurrrry worried because I don't have any of my music ripped, just a boatload of my uncles.
how can I make a disc that isn't packed with Chili Peppers and Flight Of The Conchords?
but it's actually good. Lots of songs I love but wouldn't have put if I had other options. I won't say it's more varied, not sure yet, but at least if we do this again I won't end up making basically the same disc.
now I just gotta find a solid order, and ship this tomorrow.
My ambition for 2 separate cds fell through as both would probably be nigh impossible to listen to unless in a certain mood. One too ambient/chill and the other would require the listener basically be a metal head.
I'm pleased with the final result since its pretty accessible save maybe a song or two. All that's left is the booklet which should be done today unless I have a terrible experience with Kinkos.
I've had to revise and expand my ideas a few times, and I was just about satisfied with the track lists on the 2 cds when I saw that one of my receivers is from Canada. It's probably too late for me to change things again, so I'll just send the ones I had planned.
However, busy at work so with art and liner notes it'll be Friday before I can send them.
In the ultimate sign of laziness, I haven't even started putting my mixes together.
BUT! I know what I want to make, and it shouldn't take but a day or two to have them burned and in the mail. The themes of my CD's will be 'Female lead singers', or all female bands.
My mix is all put together and ready to roll. I just have to finish up some house sitting and then I can send them out on Friday. I went for a general mix, so I'm hoping they hold together moderately well.

I apologize in advance for how ghetto the packaging for the mixes are going to be. I don't have a printer at home and am going to be busy all day for the next couple days---thus the hastily written playlist/note.

that's stupid and I hate them. I'll try to take it to the post office tomorrow but it's looking like it's going to be monday if they skip again
Yeah, they didn't come to my house the other day (of course when I had important things to mail), and I was told that they aren't required to come to your house if you don't have incoming mail and it's a service they provide out of the kindness of their hearts.

Well my booklet plans fell through, I was goin to put all the album art in there for you guys but i couldn't getting things synced up. Sadly, you're stuck with some boring stuff, but hopefully you enjoy the music.
I should be getting things mailed out on Monday. The discs have been ready for a while, but I've been trying to think of something nice to put together for a sleeve and just can't do it. My InDesign skills have eroded completely.
To my CD people: The CDs were burned last week, cover art and the like designed on Friday. Although I promised to have them out on Friday, I won't be able to do it until Wednesday. Many apologies.

Metaghost and 3lwap0 I have mailed your cds. Forgive the basic packaging but I'm not creative and I just wanted to get these out. Hopefully you can find some new music you like.

Sorry the liners are on badly cut out paper and in pencil. My printer doesn't work and I can't draw well in pen!
