Any way I could get that copy of Monkey Island? Pretty please? With cherries and sprinkles on top?

Just like they said it was going to be released in 09.
And before that...

For reals, though, one of the BM devs did make a recent post on their forums that it is going to be released "before 2011", unless I'm totally bugging out on cough syrup.
Probably old news, but I just saw that New Vegas will have Steamworks, but is also being sold on D2D, who turned down stuff like MW2 due to that obvious conflict. Is D2D changing their mind here, or will there be PC versions of New Vegas that don't use Steam?
So probably getting ahead of myself here buuuuuuuut....
Any word on if there will be a labor day steam sale, and what it might be?
I'm going to be out of town for that weekend in a place that is relatively internet-less and I want to know if I need to borrow someones phone to make some purchases.
Edit: Also I think if Valve released an official Steam App for iPhone/Android, where you could view prices/special deals and purchase them out and about, their sales would go up.

Worms Reloaded is the first game I've gotten on Steam in a while that didn't install DirectX. I've almost permanently associated that with the game installation process.

I would be eternally grateful to get the copy of Plain Sight if it's still availabe.

Call me strange but I prefer it that again instead of having 50 copies of the DirectX instalation files in my HD one related to each Steam game. Even if I delete those files Steam keeps downloading them periodically.

I've actually never played Half-Life 2, though rumor has it that it's pretty good. I would be eternally grateful for a gift copy, if you wouldn't mind (pretty please?).
I played it for the first time a few months ago after a generous PA'er gifted it to me, and I have to say that it holds up pretty well for a game of its age. I cannot say the same for HL1.
I got Deus Ex a few months back in the Steam sale, and considering how much fun I've had with it in 2010 I can only imagine how mind-blowing it was in 2000.

I played Half-Life: Source, but I thought it aged excellently. In a lot of ways its a better game then HL2.

That's interesting. I played the Source version and just didn't get into it as much as HL2. In both cases, though, I thought the last chapters went on too long.

In my experience, enjoyment of the original Half-Life has a lot to do with when you played it first. When it was initially released, it broke a lot of conventions and did a lot of new stuff that made me endeared to it. So much so that I still enjoy the game today. All of my friends who didn't play Half-Life until years after its initial release found it "boring" or "cliché", I presume because the tropes refined in HL have received a lot of play in other games throughout the years. It's certainly a person-by-person experience.
One more try here, as the prior gentleman whom laid claim has disappeared.
I've got one last copy of Worms: Reloaded at the pre-order group bundle price thing of $15 to be gifted via Steam.
PM me.
I'll respond sometime after midnight EST (as I'm going outta town for a bit), so you'll have to be prepared for some delayed gratification.

Actually first time playing it was earlier this year. In terms of the whole gameplay think, it might be the fact that I don't like the current "machine gun spray hide behind a wall till my health regenerates" style of shooters now.
Half-Life's problems are that it looks like ass now. Additionally it's has VERY boxy architecture on top of being a very linear game, so you really feel like you're just running down a long cooridor.
Though if you look beyond that, IMO, you'll find fantastically varied enemies, great weapons and a lot of fun locals and shootouts.

Also, they changed their mind a while ago and started selling MW2.
