I remember a website I used a few months ago that had comprehensive data on which words and used most frequently in English. However, I can't find it again - and Google's not helping as the search terms are rather generic. Does anyone know the site in question, or similar sites? Thanks.

There's no way that "Conquistador" (the lowest ranking word on this list) is less frequently used than such gems as "Ixmar," "Ignimbrites" and "Ulsterbus."

Well, it's all to do with what sources you choose to make your word list from. E.g. they use the British National Corpus so it probably is true.
The only time I use charming is when I say "Charming as fuck".
