Hey guys, I just bought a USB wireless adapter and I can't get it to work. It's a netgear wg111v2. I'm trying to connecting to a linksys thats about 4 years old I think. The USB adapter works, it will pick up the wireless signals around me. However when I try to connect to my routers signal the connection will not work. It comes up with a "waiting for router" message and a loading graphic, and then nothing happens. The graphic disappears and there is no information on why the connection did not work. Any ideas why this is happening?
I just made a fresh install of windows, and have no internet connection on that computer so I cannot download any new drivers to it. The actual modem is on the other end of the house in my roommates room, and I do not have a cable long enough to reach it. The password is also correct.
