I maintain that at the end of CTDS, they used their foreknowledge of Dalton's attack to prevent it and lived happily ever after.

CC happened in the timeline that Alternate!Magus came from.

So there's a chance that Before Crisis may hit the 3DS.

Maybe by the time they get around that, the big Remake will get announced as part of "Compilation of Final Fantasy VII ver 2".

....okay, but a 3DS BC would still be nice.

I rather like the dragon scales look for Kain.

Also, ever wondered what Ex-Death looked like under the armor? Well it turns out Amano had an artwork of that.

Also note that Cloud has a totally new outfit. Interesting.

Pretty sure I saw an announcement somewhere that mentioned that every character's getting a third costume in addition to whatever bonus DLC stuff they do.

Is Cloud's there supposed to be something in particular? Along with the DLC, that's two missed chances to put him in a dress.

Not even remotely SE related, but....

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HHaUxFxniTs

This is one of the worst RPGs I've had the misfortune of playing. I'm supposed to submit a review for this by the end of the week, but I can barely stand an hour of it.

Normally I can stomach bad voice acting, especially if there's some camp to it, but it's like the "actors" are going out of their way to sound flat and monotonous.

It doesn't help that the game also plagiarizes every 3D RPG that ever existed. Even the plot is pretty much ripped right out of Vesperia.

I never picked it up because the voice acting was so bad, glad to hear I didn't miss anything. It sucks too because I love the character designer and it would give me a reason to actually play my wii >.>

Yes, they do suck, but I've kind of given up the fight on the over-sexualization of all female characters in games.

When an honest-to-god badass female character is put into a game, though, I view it as a tremendous credit to the game. It really is all too rare. Goddamn sexism.

I think you can turn off the voice completely, but even with that in mind, there's nothing special about the gameplay, and most of it is plagiarized from other games.

There was one boss encounter where the boss would spend every turn spamming the exact same spell over and over. You were forced to watch the summoning animation repeatedly without any way to skip it.

There's also factors that seem to be completely random, such as team-up attacks and characters attacking in a totally different order than the one you planned out.

Beyond that, the gameplay is competent but nothing special. As an overall average, I say stay the hell away and hope that Nintendo localizes Xenoblade and Last Story.

I have no idea, myself. This has to be the most under the radar FF title yet.

I shouldn't be thinking that because there is zero buzz that it might be bad, but considering how large the FF community is, you think you'd hear something about it.

Also, now you can "imbalanced" to the list of things wrong with Arc Rise Fantasia. I'm in this tiny dungeon area where I can easily plow through the enemies, but the boss fight afterward is ass-raping me with my own Wiimote. I've done some grinding to add two extra levels, but that still isn't enough.

Blame the shitty AP system for that. Want to use an item to heal your buddy? Too bad, you only have enough to either heal or attack per turn.

    This game got press?

Was there ever even a third party RPG that did successful on the Wii? I'm starting to think any RPG made for the Wii at this point was rejected by the other consoles, and thus sent to die.

This would include Last Story. Microsoft probably didn't want to put the budget toward another Mistwalker game. :(

Just look at those lovely, lovely locations! And the Animal Crossing (or Populous The Beginning) perspective is just fabulous. I love how they didn't even try to compete with Final Fantasy 10-13 style graphics, but still managed to make it pleasant on the eyes.

I got mine pre-ordered from Amazon UK... dirt cheap, supposedly arrives october 8th.

I thought the 4 Warriors of Light was pretty decent from what I played of it (I had just a few dungeons left to go when I put it down).

I am sure people will complain about it splitting up your party and switching perspectives a lot early on like Final Fantasy 13 did (only without giving you forewarning about or automatically removing equipment from characters that are about to leave your party for a few hours).

The magic and job system were pretty interesting (particularly how you buy spells and can give pretty much anyone a heal spell) but leveling up your jobs through gems you earn in battle can be a bit of a pain since it means you have to use a single pool of gems to gain skills for up to four characters (and some gems can be a bit tough to come by early on).

The game is pretty as all hell and fairly inventive in its storytelling though so I cannot fault it for that.
