My thoughts when thinking about RPGs go straight to Fallout, Baldur's Gate, Elder Scrolls, Arcanum etc.
I'm talking about proper role playing games here by the way. I'm not interested in JRPGs.
I only want games where you have choices about where you go and what you do. What race, age, gender and class the protagonist is.
Proper RPGs.

Ultima IV (I just found out that the bell, book & candle is an excommunication ceremony in the catholic church, while in this game, it's used to unlock the path to ultimate wisdom... and it's a game about reading a book... brilliant.)
