Why do I get the feeling this is the sort of thing that happens in japanese game forums when they find one of our silly flash games?
Man, this is what I go through with every doujin game I play. :P
"Okay, found the movement buttons... do I have an attack? Yes. Good. Okay, any other buttons? Alright this... uh... does something. Now, what the fuck am I trying to do? Oh shit, things to shoot."
You are far more dedicated than I.
EDIT: R is restart/rety. O and N seem to just pose.
My favorite is the falling platforms where the first two fall while you're on them, necessitating a jump, but the third one shoots upwards at the spiked ceiling. So goddamn evil. So awesome.

Occasionally it makes the bunny girl stop time.
Damn, that was a great game, I should work on getting the good ending already.
Weird...the flash game doesn't like like the linked playthroughs on my computer. The characters arms and some floors are little blocks, and there are no clearly defined spikes. It looks like I'm missing a character pack, but I don't see how that would affect a flash game.

Do you have Japanese fonts?
How do I obtain them?
That must be what's wrong with mine also. At first I thought I was just stupid.

I think there's some option for enabling East Asian Languages in control panel -> regional and language settings.

So much trial and error. I was literally screaming at my computer when I finally got past that first set of spikes, only to have the second set fall on me.
[spoiler:a8d5d12f05]You can break the screen scroll horizontally and vertically by use the F, N, or O keys. In both cases, you hit one of them just before the screen scrolls and when the animation stops you will be able to control your character even though the screen is scrolling, you can then move back towards the last screen, which will push the frame towards the last screen and the margins will now be misplaced. It has various side effects and lets you do some really neat stuff[/spoiler:a8d5d12f05]

yeah there's a spike at the top of the doorway. I dono, I always walk through those things
As for the boss, I got a hit in, and he just shoots some junk back your direction. I sat there watching if there was any pattern, but of course there isn't. Also, you can't just hide underneath him (off to the side). His area extends beyond him.
What's with that big ball of crap shooting crap at the end? Man, everytime I actually manage to hit him, he shoots out some unshootable crap, and I get killed. Good game, but would be better if I could discern what part of the ground kills me or not. Trial and error ftl.

I tried playing it in IE, and I got a lot of weird blank space and whatnot.
I play it in firefox and everything lines up perfectly.
Tips for beating the boss at the end: The moment you are through the door jump up the first two blocks (firing as you do) and then jump over the third one toward him and just fire off as many shots as possible (I've managed nine). It really cuts down on the time you have to just patiently hover in the bottom left corner hoping you don't get grazed by something.
Haven't tried jumping in the doorway yet. Is this some videogame tradition or something? :P
Well, I'm not sure, but I was jumping through boss doors back when I was playing the various Rockman/Megaman games. And seems like a lot of people do as well. I think it's because it's boring to just always walk through the door so we add variety by jumping through them. Also has that whole cinematic slow-motion flying-through-the-air effect.

Yes, yes I know. I never heard it mentioned anywhere by anyone, and maybe thought I was the sole person who loved pressing jump right before the collision of the door with my sprite. Been playing Yoshi's Island GBA all morning, and I totally wish you could hover through doors/pipes/whatever. Though I do love trying to get his animation to stop as a vine grows or a pathway builds itself...

Like, I bet you weren't expecting that platform dude to run off the second you got off his back, huh?

interestingly, two linked videos from when that one ends are playthroughs of the game

Okay, that's pretty freaking awesome.
Doing the "Jump into the Boss Door" thing in this game is tight. And also sweet.

Yeesh, 230 MB to install them.
You can shoot the bullets he fires to make them disappear.

I'm working on it.
It's tough to resist the urge to jump into the boss door every time, that alone makes him tough to fight.

Is he beatable? I can't even get a hit in, and I've been to him at least 5 times.

I killed him (takes about twenty shots) and then he exploded into a bunch of bullets... I dodged all but the last one...
EDIT: Well that sucks.
I beat him, and dodged the remaining bullets. Nothing happens.
You can go out through the gate, but you can't get anywhere.
