For those of you looking to buy just one bloodline, may I recommend the harbinger? He has some great hit-and-run tactics, can leech health, has a pull, and is a pretty decent melee hitter. I can actually play ranked games (and win some! *GASP*) with the harbinger and be somewhat competent.

I've been playing for a few hours now, really, really addicted. I liked the fire guy, got to play him for like, 10 min. When I got back from class, the Boodlines changed, and I'm really liking the inhibitor and the gunner.

I didn't really like Harbinger when I played him, I feel like I can do so much more utility stuff with Astronomer and my melee is still pretty decent (although not quite as good Harb's obviously).

I'm loving all of the Harbingers ranged abilities, which means I dont have to try suicide runs to get some damage in.

Then when they get in close, its time to slash, ghost, slash, pull.

I officially suck with the inhibitor. I love the bloodline, I think he's totally awesome, but I sure a shit can't play him.

I'm constantly scoring 2.9 - 4.3 in contribution rating. Now, I usually don't score that high (which I do not understand for the life of me), but with him I score the lowest possible.

    It's down right shameful.

Inhibitors really need a Healer to complement them. Since the shield will AOE stun when it breaks, which gives whoever the shield was on some breathing room for the healer.

The Inhibitor also has another AOE stun ability, and I think he needs to alternate his LMB & RMB for some sort of stacking secondary effects.

But dont take my word on it, I am also absolutely horrible with Inhibitors.

Oh man harb is brutal, if you can hit your e then rmb and start hacking away dudes drop like a hooker on payday all while healing yourself. You can pressure healers ridiculously hard and if you have decent aim are incredibly difficult to escape from. So much fun.

Just played my first match as healer. That was pretty fun.

It does feel a lot like Dota + Guild Wars + Fighting Game elements (EX powers and Ultimates)

Only thing that's worrying me is the ping is a bit higher than I'm normally used to (nothing less than 100), even for people in the US.

Teach me this method. I was trying to use the inhibitor successfully, but he was mostly just a low damage ranged dude for me.

    It was all... R1, R1, R1, R2, Q, Shift+R, E, R1, R1, R1, R2, repeat.

Didn't really get anywhere else with him.

Switch it up. I think the trick is to stack with your RMB, then trigger with your LMB. That does the huge damage buff. Also, stack with RMB and use Q, slow and damage buff I believe, I could have it backwards...

I don't go for the heal with him, it's to slow to build up, and you have rune shield Wuji, and your teleport to get away, the going for the heal stack is just burning time you could be doing damage.

My problem is HITTING, I miss my shots all the time with him, I think it's the slower cast time.

Other way around (LMB then RMB for damage), but yah focus on stacking the damage buff then trigger it unless you're under fire (then go for the defensive combo). Inhib is a lot trickier and situational than the other tanks. I miss glutton, but I'm sort of glad he's gone :D

I also like the fact that you can buy skins to make any class the opposite gender. Though I'm a little saddened that they're the most expensive skin in the game.

But then I'm happy again, because you can buy them with blood coins earned in game, rather than having to drop real cash!

I like that too, one of the things that started to bother me about LoL was the proliferation of female characters. I'm a male, I like to play male's in my game. I don't mind if other people want to play females, but I want to play a male. The last like...5 hero's they've released have been female which is a huge turn off for me. Considering most of them are characters who I like, I just don't enjoy playing a chick.

Plus, the bimbo art styling just is a huge turn off.

On the flip side, I find it approximately 10x easier to recognize characters on the fly in LoL. The overall visual style in BLC is appealing, but blurs together much more.

Well... you get a good 30 seconds of scanning them during the lead in. I really don't think anyone who has read up on all of the characters will be unable to identify which 3 they're up against before the game starts. It could get more complicated if they triple the number of bloodlines, though.

I wouldn't mind of the game was slowed down (even if that was just cooldowns), and had less visual monkey business. There are times where things just get muddy during fights. Having a few more prominent UI features, and more distinct damage and healing numbers would help as well. I hope they open that stuff up.

I'm already looking at using the mod to fix the cursor, because having a brown blob to track over a field of brown while targeting brown is dumb. A nice bright green or purple would help.

In fact, give me cpma brightskins while you're at it.

I was more referring to during fights. Some characters are pretty easy to tell apart from others, but many look too similar and in the middle of the action it can be harder to identify targets.

Never really had that problem in LoL, the characters have vast differences in color/shape/size so it's extremely easy to tell them apart, and are also very distinct from the environment. BLC has a more "realistic" and subdued look which is arguably more appealing visually but I don't find it as functional gameplay-wise.

Also, while I appreciate how the teams are set up as Warm vs Cold or whatever, I wouldnt mind if Teammates names were always Green or something and opponents names are always Yellow or something.

Sometimes I'll have a couple games in a row as the same team colour, then switch, and it takes a while to get used to sometimes, trying to attack teammates or heal opponents. :P

Yeah, it could really borrow more from FPS. Brightskins, forced colours, even projectile colours. All would be very, very welcome additions and help clean the look of the game up a lot.

I think I have the Inhibitor figured out now, very enjoyable.

Self shield to do a stun and swap with an enemy, the port does stuns for anyone you port past, regular shield absorbs 13 dmg and explodes after 26 for an AOE stun. Also an AOE slow and spellblock.

Another thing that's awesome in this game that I just realized: stealth.
No permastealth - all the stealth is tactical and lasts less than 3 seconds. No stealthing from offscreen and then running up and hitting someone that didn't even know you were there.
