Thing is, end game, everyone used Antiproton Sniper rifles (For knockback single target) and Antiproton Split Beams anyway, it seemed.
I still use the antiproton sniper rifle in The Cure... though I've changed my antiproton split beam with the Prototype rifle...
Also, Jamesra, no worries on dropping out... I prefer people leave for real life issues than game life issues... I got up to 184 Marks of Explore... so tonight when I get online I'll be doing ALL of the dailies and both B'tran explores... I can get the Nebula tonight though, then it's onto my others things to get done...
Are the Dividian missions at Leutenant 6, or at LtCmdr 6?

I hit endgame right about the same time as I got the proton rifle, so I guess I missed that.
Because yeah, I love the Mk X AP sniper rifle vs Borg that I got as loot for doing Infected. And here I thought I was being unique
On a side note...I think im going to respec today. I was thinking about taking the advice of other people in the fleet and focusing only on phasers and use skill points on other stuff that enhance my BO skills.
my philosphy is still to ignore ground combat skills. I just don't see any compelling reason to divide my scarce points up between space and ground. I'm just really not liking this skill system.
I found out from another website that you can only have one respec token...so all those tokens I didn't use while leveling up are wasted (though I don't know why people would want to respec THAT often)
I hate specializing I guess
I dunno..I think what's bugging me is that Its hard to tell if these skill points make any real difference. I've barely put any points into ground combat but I don't exactly feel like im lacking you know? What if I completely reversed my philosophy and spent all my points on ground skills? Would I even notice the difference?

Yeah you don't lose those tokens. I had 3 of them on my char from when it first went retail that were waiting util I resubbed half a year later.

Don't use Breen Transphasic Cluster Torpedos in a Metreon gas field.

And as of tonight we can cross off the top three on this list....
I got my Nebula from MArks of Explore, I got my Federation Tactical officer through the last two Dividian missions, and I got my 3rd and final character through the Dividian series. So, yeah, going forward I'm just oging to level up my klinks and work on those STFs...

But that sounds hilarious.
Also make sure you don't have that pre-order tactical console that automatically shoots any nearby enemies equipped.
Learned that the hard way.
Oh man, don't remind me.
*Flying through Metreon Gas Nebulae at release.*
*Automatic guns start going off.*
*Shields down to fifty percent.*
Me: What the fuck?
*Shields down.*
Me: Balls! BALLS!
*Hull Critical*
Ship:
Learned my lesson after that. Never equip automatic console turrets when there's highly volatile objects hanging around.

There's a whole gaggle of federation LT's and LC's running around in the guild to level up with if you wanted another fed officer. That said, if you're enjoying the sparse Klingon content (as understand it) go for it. You still have the PA channel to communicate with if someone needs some VA style help.
Things are a bit sparse over there, but it's kind of easy to backburner one and use them to get a different look at featured episodes.
Season 3 makes their exploration missions a lot less annoying, though. No more hunting for 15 minutes in the fog for that last priceless Klingon historical artifact to destroy.

That sucks. If you have it, try some aleve-b. I've gotten some terrible headaches over the past couple of weeks, so bad that even moving made me vomit and that's the only thing that helped.

Beat like a red headed step child!

I've reached the point of dealing with Borg. I typically play on Elite. I can handle the Borg on the ground (thus far) with my current setup, although I have yet to run into the leader-type Borg; the highest I've had to deal with was an Elite Tactical drone and a Heavy Tactical drone at the same time (with their usual retinue). Space is a different story. An encounter with a Cube is making me think that I may need to change my setting, or at least my setup.
I fly a Cruiser and I'm usually based on shield tanking. Clearly, against a Cube, that's not a viable option. I'm thinking of bringing in a variant science officer and a variant Engineering officer to bounce Aux to Structural and Polarize Hull off of each other, because trying to endure with a shield skill rotation just isn't cutting it - at least, not against the Cube's ubershields and tractor beams. I need to be able to match the speed of the target facing to be able to cut through the shields. Once the hull is exposed it should be relatively simple; a cube only has 80% of the HP of a comparative level Sphere.
I asked this in the last thread, but God Almighty I wasn't ready for these guys on Elite. I'll be turning it down to Advanced (or even lower if that don't work) but I have a feeling I'm just doing it wrong.
I don't want to find myself logging off 15 minutes short or anything
I know for the rewards in Champions Online you had to be logged on for at least an hour. I'd assume STO would be the same.
Elite Tactical Drone it the highest thing I've met outside of STF's.
For cubes, bring something to break tractor beams (polarize hull) and don't be afraid to run out of range, especially on elite. My first elite fight with one in my escort took 20 minutes of hit and run. They won't reset unless you fly out around 15 km, so hovering outside of the 10 km range and letting cooldowns and shields catch up works. Don't get in a battle of attrition with a cube. Between their ridiculous shields, shield nullifiers, and huge weapons loadout, you're not going to win it.
Pretty green beams everywhere.
My goal for today was to hit Captain with my science officer... I got my story missions alright... I'm told to go fly out and investigate something in the Borath system of the Omega Leonis sector block, I arrive and immeadiately see
Naturally I prevail... Only to be informed that
I beam into a mess of ashes and embers as I'm being attacked by all sorts of shit I've never seen before... Including this one enemy that, I shit you not, is twice as tall as any toon I've seen, and he's just chucking this chain around, whooping me and my crew's ass... So we're fighting out way through the great hall of Qo'Nos and reach a point where we have to protect the Chancellor... From an enemy that, and I'm not making this shit up here, an enemy about 4 times as tall as any toon I've seen... This beast is epic.
Naturally my crew and I prevail....
The chancellor demands we invstigate further, and I agree, this shit is messed up... So I go out and talk to
So then we warp out of there and I'm like, cool a third bonus mission! So we beam into the monestary and
So, we're sudenly on
Naturally we killed his ass too...
So there we are, docked at
Naturally of course you kill them too, cause you know, you're Mr. Bad Ass Klingon... So after they're dead you step through another set of gates, at which point
Naturally we kill him, oddly enough he dies like any other enemy... Odly simple... So my Science officer is all like "Hey time to go", so we leave... But we don't end up where we started on this journey.... No, we appear to be in an area similar to before.
So, naturally we push forward into this great big room with the Klingon symbol upside down, clearly telling us that something epic is going to happen, initially you kill off a bunch of the grunts in the room, same as before... When all of a sudden,
Finally he goes down... And then,
Best part of all? It's a scaling weapon.... Man, I can't wait to go up against those bastard Borg now, they wont know what hit em'....
Funniest part? When you're done you realize that you've infact compelted two story missions back to back without realizing it... So be warned my Klingon brothers... When you hit captain you will be getting FOUR story missions, not the usual two... But it will be so epic, that you wont even notice the splits...
I took screenshots, but am having issues uploading....

Groups like Razor Fleet though need to fuck off and die.
They're the main reason Feds don't have a carrier yet (You can't tell me a Fed carrier wouldn't be awesome, too.). Any time someone makes a topic even tangentially related, the Klingon "PVP" (And I use that term lightly.) players pile into it and shout about how it'd be "unbalanced," in order to keep the class disparity up.
Mind you, those same groups and people have done that even after numerous people have posted mathematical evidence that even having a single carrier in a PVP battle is a massive advantage. Especially n a capture and control map, where they're essentially a glorified, DPSing, zerging machine that can be turned into support ships at a moments notice.
As for the anti carrier players, they aren't listening to them, really.
It's just that Cryptic seems to prioritize what to put in (Their secondary features, like Uni's for instance.) according to player appeals, in STO.
So when there's a large group of people decrying the addition of carriers to Fed players, they push the release date for them back until there's less important things on the agenda. They've already stated that, like it or not, carriers for Federation players will be going in, and no amount of kicking, screaming, and bitching from people wanting an unfair advantage will change that.
MMOs cost too much money for me to tolerate even the least bit of griefing.

if there is going to be PVP...give me a harsh death penalty like permadeath or three strikes and THEN permadeath. Nothing like a healthy fear of death to stop people from doing stupid shit...or at least minimizes the stupid shit
