Monsters & Mayhem is a derivative of D&D 4e that I`ve been working towards completing off & on for about a year. I`m re-tooling it however for an online only version through MapTool. Going to use this thread to get feedback on various elements, but first... I need a word for a category of implements. Right now I have No Implement, Unworked, Crafted, and Mastercrafted. I need one more term for the final category of implements. They are like superior weapons, but I don`t want to use the same term for both thematic and coding reasons.

Ooo I like Exceptional. Thanks! Posting from my phone sucks and the thesausurs site didn`t work. Exceptional Heavy Warhammer, Crafted Medium Longsword, Unworked Symbol. Thanks again Gandalf.

I also need to come up with traits for Unworked and Crafted implements. Weapons have Unwieldy, Balanced, Versatile, Brutal, and Masterwork. Unwiedly is -1 to attack rolls for improvised weapons, balanced allows the weapons to be wielded in an offhand, versatile is +1 dmg two-handed, brutal is same as d&d and masterwork is +1 atk and one other trait.

Hrm, how about Wild and Focused. Attacks through onworked implements would have a chance ti genrate an unpredictable result. Focused adds +1 dmg if implement wielded in mainhand.
