Hey guys, try disabling all your sound devices via the control panel > sound. I can now play with very very little stuttering, and it's not during a gunfight either!
Obviously there will be no sound...and the game still crashes every 3-4 matches...

I've been telling you guys all along that reflex is the superior sight. Now I have empirical evidence to back me up.
I always figured reflex was better cause it looks fancier. Now I guess we know it actually is. I have not spent a single cheese pizza on a RDS on any class for any gun. Reflex erryday, for reals.

Everyone has a price. Throw enough gold around and someone will risk disintegration.
Is it true they "fixed" dashboarding? It was annoying as shit in MW2 and it's been happening in BLOPS too - the host ragequits to dashboard, which results in everyone getting kicked out of the game. I know people do it to preserve their precious stats, but I've heard it actually records your stats anyway in BLOPS.
Speaking of that, in times like that (where everyone is kicked from the game entirely), does everything else save? I seem to remember it did in MW2, so I'm assuming it does in BLOPS.
It would be cool if this game had a bunch of stat-tracking online like Bad Company 2 and Halo 3/Reach.
It sort of does; check out your play card (or some thing near that menu option) for all kinds of comparisons...
Yeah all of that info is cool, I meant something you could view on the web.
Maybe it's just me, but putting Rapid Fire on the AK74u results in easy kills up close but I can't hit shit farther away (and by farther away I mean more than a few feet away). I wonder if it's worth dropping Rapid Fire and either using another attachment or switching away from Warlord.
Well from the looks of the videos you can put a reflex on it as well to maintain your accuracy.
Good to know about the reflex sight thing. I liked it over RDS anyways, but now I have a real reason.
Also, new thread means I've probably procrastinated playing on the PA server long enough. 5 day weekend should be enough time to find the server at least once.
I have officially found my new "funnest class in the game".
MPL with grip and rapid fire.
lightweight pro, warlord pro, marathon pro.

MOTION SENSOR
What I do is I move up, take the most complicated building I can find in any given map, put down a motion sensor in the middle of it, and then run around the building continuously in a manner that makes me wish Yakety Sax was playing in the background. I just run and run and spray and spray and when I get bored of that, I find a new spot and rinse and repeat. The gun kills so fast that even if they get the jump on you, half of the time you can spray your way out of it and it doesn't even need steady aim to get hipfire kills, because it fires so fast.
Its so tryhard.

That's annoying. Because reflex sights look like poop, but now I'm going to at least have to try them out.
that's funny, because I think red dot sights look like poop. Especially on guns like the AK. There's like, a giant fricken mount for a tiny little lens.
Eeenteresting. Maybe the Reflex will help alleviate all the issues I've been having with recoil on certain guns. Could this even improve my beloved Galil? And the Enfield! Oh my.

Sev: Your gameplay is the most heavily yomi based around. Usually you look for characters that allow you to force guessing situations for big dmg. Even if the guess is mathematically nowhere near in your favor lol. You're happiest when you have either a 50/50, 33/33/33 or even a 75/25 situation to go crazy with. And you will take big risks to force those situations to come up.
I suck at this game. Please give me tips on how to do better than 0.6 KDR in every match.
(except one time I bought the contract that gives you 2700 exp/codpoints for getting attack dogs and the very first thing I did was get attack dogs ... 20/2 that round w00t)

move less and use spy planes.
also play with people who use blackbirds (and can actually get them) because they are awesome.
No one's tips are going to be uiniversal but I'll say the same thing I said in MW2, learn the paths, set up your shots and flank if you can.
Some people do great with silencers, some suck. Find the weapon that fits you, because I'm sure there is one (probably not the fal for you). Look at some of the combos people are using (Warlorded 74u grip+rapid fire, galil, enfield, etc). Once you learn where people are coming from you can ambush them. Don't play for fair fights, play for unfair fights in your advantage.
I'd rather shoot 15 people in the back then win one face to face gunbattle.
Finding the right weapon for you is important. I always use some of the worst ideas and guns for classes, but I can do somewhat well with them, while I suck with the better guns you can get in the game.
Also, regarding that video about the Red Dot/Reflex, I'm not sure I agree with his statement that the zoom differs between the two. I had tested this myself, using both scopes, standing in the exact same spot and aiming at the same object using a specific reticle to measure the zoom. I found that the zoom was identical. So I don't know how he states the zoom is different.

I just realized that I've shot down more killstreaks in the two weeks BLOPS has been out than I did the entire time I played MW2. A shame I don't use ghost cause I'd probably have pro unlocked in 15 minutes. I am wholly unwilling to give up HardlinePro though.
It is so immensely satisfying to deny or limit a chopper gunner/gunship to 1 or 2 kills.

I find that the olympia lands somewhere in the area of "bad" and "fun" that I much need in this game after my constant famas whoring
Definitely. I started out hating it with a bleeding passion, but now I feel like it's the shotgun with the most character. It just feels so good. Wish it had some attachments so I could pimp it out a little.
I found Hardline Pro too unreliable. I was running Spy Plane/SAM/CP because no one else seems to use spy planes, and I'd say 80% of the time I rerolled a package I got crap or mediocre items. I did reroll to dogs once or twice and a chopper gunner once or twice, but I called in probably 60 total packages while using it.
Plus, having to stop and call them in, wait for them, etc. seems to ruin the flow of the game for me. I just do Spy Plane/Counter Spy Plane/Mortar now and feel like I'm helping the team out more.

Started out using the Olympia and sucked at it. Moved to the Steakhouse and then the SPAS thinking they were better, but now I'm back to the Olympia. I LOVE using it on Summit.

You are using SR-71, right?
SR-71 is how you get above 8.
Or, it is how you get a 2nd SR-71 after dying and calling in the first.

Don't doubt my French-speaking skills! This is a direct quote from early last thread.
Je t'assure que mon Français est impeccable.
edit: and of course I'm far too late.
Gun recoil.
Reflex reduces it, Silencer does not.

Still stutters like John Melendez.
Also, RDS does not.
So check out my message to you:
as a matter of fact—don't let nothin hold you back! if 0Replace4Displace can do it, so can you.

If even one person understood the joke, it was well worth the effort.
French.
About 2 letters different from capitulate.
I'm going to hazard a guess that it means surrender.
What does warlord pro do again?
Which is dumb-ish because maybe I want Akimbo snub nose pythons, but I can't have two attachments on my secondaries.
no second attachement for the secondary, sadly
just more nades.
